Hi there :wave2:
As an asthma sufferer of 20 years i have managed to keep my illness pretty much under control,
but the last time we visited WDW (May 05) my asthma got worse.
The first 5/6 days i was fine, but the second week i had to visit the A & E department 3 times. I think it was the humidity that set me off, as i got worse at night, it didn't stop us doing what we wanted, just slowed us down as walking around the parks was leaving me wheezy and tight chested. :sad1:
I have been told that leaving the air conditioning on in the room helps with humidity, is this true ?
I have also spoke to my doctor and she is prescribing me a course of steroid tablets for my trip.
We are visiting Disney this May (for 3 weeks) on our Disneymoon (it was the only time the DW ,to be, could get off work) and i would hate for anything to spoil our time there.
I have read that a card is available from Disney that allows people with health problems to wait in a shaded area when in line for the rides, how does this work ?, and would it help me as it is the humidity that is triggering my attacks ?.
Any tips or suggestions would be most appretiated.

Many thanks

I would go check the disABILITIES board. There is a thread there about the Guest Assistance Card.
