When the Year Of A Million Dreams ends do you think the Resorts will go back to selling the Resort specific mugs, or will WDW come up with a new set of generic mugs that can be used at all the Resorts while in WDW? Let's say they go back to the Resort specific mugs do you think they will keep the rule saying you can use them at any location? I know under the old rules you could not use a Polynesian mug at the Grand Floridian, however considering they changed the rule for the YOAMD mugs, won't it look a little weird that WDW goes back on that rule if they use the Resort specific mugs?

Who knows for all we know they may something unique in there heads for next year

I hope not, we were just talking today about our 2008 trip and we are seriously considering a split stay at BCV and Poly. A mug for all resorts would be great.

If I had to guess I'd bet they would keep the same style mug for all resorts and change it every year. It has to be less expensive than a mug style for every resort there, and change it every year, thus possibly discouraging people from bringing it back on future visits.

My guess is that it is cheaper to issue one mug for all hotels every year than different ones. That's probably why they were slow about changing the old ones...the cost.

So, my guess - and I'm just guessing - is that they'll stick with one mug for all hotels.

I think it would be really cool if every year they would have a different mug. They could include the year on it, and everyone could use it for that year only.

Assuming WDW does themed mugs every year won't it have to be for something really special? Year Of A Million Dreams is a great example because of what it involves however thinking back to their old promotions like 4 Parks One World, that would not seem like a special idea for generic mugs.

I don't necessarily think the mug has to be special, it just has to be cost effective for WDW and offer savings to the guest.

If they want to enforce the resort specific length of stay rule they can just start using the bar code system like at the water parks. We only buy mug(s) if it saves us money on that particular trip.
