Associate Members - Card?

Before I call and make a pain of myself do associate members get a membership card? I thought yes and when I double checked with the CM I was told yes and I would get it shortly but it has been 2 months already,

my brother is my associate member and he has never received a membership card - they are only for members - sometimes even members have problems - in a joint membership - they don't always receive their cards.

but as long as you have the member number - that is all you need to make reservations - the discounts at WDW are okay with your ID card (room key) it says DVC member

No. Our adult kids are associates, and they do not have cards. They can make ressies with the number though.

Associate members do not have most of the member benefits. I think the only associate benefit is the ability to make reservations.

anyone with a DVC member on their ID card (even those that are renters) get all the DVC discounts at WDW.

I ended up adding my Sister as an associate as she is paying some of the dues since she goes so often. I have two member cards (got one at add on). She tried to use it for the Disney Store Discount and it created a nightmare. They actually had to void her order and start again,

They have the benefits while staying on points just as any guest would, not because they are an associate member. Otherwise, they have no other options.

My dad and i are the members and my wife is the associate member....ohhh I love telling her "honey I will take care of this seeing as I am the MEMBER and all"....I really love telling her that she will need to keep me with her at all times when pool hopping because I am an "official" member....oh the small pleasures in life
