Assistance with Delta award travel

My wife and I each have separate frequent flyer accounts with Delta. Individually, we each have sufficient miles for a ticket. When booking award travel, how do I make sure that we both get on the same flights? When I log in to the Delta website I can only access one account at a time.

Your guidance will be appreciated. Thank you.

I think that the best way to do this would be to call Delta and book it over the phone. Plan VERY far ahead assuming you want to go to Orlando. (Lots of other people want those tickets too!)

Before you call Delta, go online and play around with the Award travel page to find what is open. Delta very rarely puts Song flights into the mix for award inventory. I can't understand why, but argue with Delta frequently why a $149 Song roundtrip isn't put into award inventory at the 11 month flight opening, but a $500 west coast flight is. They never give a good answer, but as a Platinum medallion level, they open them up as a "favor" when I email customer service.

When you do search award travel, you should try Daytona Beach and Tampa. If you are renting a car, you can sometimes get good flights into those airports when Orlando is sold out for award travel. The only difference is a bit of driving distance.

Of course Delta has SkyChoice awards available at 50K that allow you to fly any flight, but these are seldom worth it. Good Luck.

If I can get the flight for $149 round trip I would not waste my miles on that. I always check the flight costs first. If it is really cheap then I buy the ticket and continue to accumulate miles.

We are thinking of using these awards tickets for flights to Las Vegas.

It is very expensive ($450 round trip) to fly from Bangor to Las Vegas.
