Okay Ill admit it. Weve become resort snobs. Im sorry. I really am. We got a promo rate of $49 for a Value resort, so we figured that for 4 days it wouldnt be so bad, beside we were at ASMovies 4 years ago and we really loved the Toy Story Section. Weve stayed at POR the last 2 trips, and absolutely LOVE that place. I know you cant compare the Mods or Deluxes to Values. But it just wasnt the same. Check in was fine. We only paid one of the 3 nights in advance and used some of our Disney Visa points for the rest. That was cake. Since the room wasnt ready at noon when we got there, we dropped our bags at luggage services and went to meet with our wedding planned at the GF. We were given a number to call to see if our room was ready, which is very convenient since we didnt get back to the resort until after 10:30. We were given room 4622 in the Rock Section. It was the back corner of the resort and was about a 5 minute walk to the busses. Luckily, there was a really cool hidden Mickey that we would see on the way:

The room itself looked about the same size as POR, except the bathroom area by the sinks was a lot smaller. The TV was just kinda plopped on the drawers, and I couldnt see a family of 4 having enough room to put all their stuff.
Also, my fiancé didnt realize that there wasnt a blow drier in the room until the next morning, but Mousekeeping was very prompt in bringing one when we called that night.
I dont know what it was, but the theming just seemed kinda thrown together. I think ASMovies is a lot nicer, but again, thats just me since theyre pretty much identical.
We didnt eat at the food court at all, so I cant say anything about that.
But since I believe that you should always find a silver lining, I can say that the beds themselves and the pillows were better than I expected. They actually seemed brand new.
It was nice to see the holiday decorations. The GF was building their gingerbread house:

They also had some of their other decorations up:

That lobby smelled just like the holidays should. Even if I was wearing shorts instead of a sweater.
All in all, for $49 it was a good place to lay your head (we only spent 4 hours in the room awake during the 4 days we were there), but I dont think well be headed back unless we get a similar deal.
