ASMu vs. Pop! We can't decide!!!!

We desperately need everyones help in making our resort decision. We are a group of 6.

One child, aged 10, her second trip.
Us, her parents early 30s, several trips each
My mom, early 50's, first trip in 20 years.
My brother, 22, first trip ever
And another family member, who graduates high school next week.

We are traveling in November the week before the week.of Thanksgiving. We stayed at AS Movies in 2011 and enjoyed it but want to stay somewhere new. We are aiming for values, and doing the free DP paying for the upgrade to regular dining.

Which resort do you guys think would be more fun? I'm leaning towards Pop thinking it will be fun enough to cater to all age groups, nostalgia for some, just plain neat stuff for others, plus I've heard the food court is better. Music seems kinda boring in my opinion in comparison. I personally have never visited either property but have only looked online.

Just a thought, but the cost of upgrading to the regular dining plan might be about the same as just staying at a mod.

Pop! I stayed there in 2011 and had a great time! There is alot to explore, AOA across the bridge and food court at Pop is good!If you are looking for connecting rooms I read today it is harder to get connecting rooms at music because alot had been converted to suites. I stayed at All Star Sports 2012. I looked at Music and it has a very pretty pool, sort of Carribean! I wouldn't mind at all to stay in the preferred or in the Jazz section but I would hate to be all the way to the end of music and to the right side next to All Star Sports! Its like it was in the parking lot!

Have stayed at POP and ALL STAR SPORTS, I would pick POP any day! More convenient location and better theming in my opinion. ALL STARS are nice and a little less money sometimes but POP is worth the extra. You will have fun no matter what I'm sure, but POP gets our vote!

Sense you have already stayed at an All Star I would say POP. They have a walking path around a lake and you can walk over to AoA and check that out. With the exception of AoA which has slightly upgraded landscaping and pools all the values are pretty much the same.

Definitely check into this! We are a family of four, all Disney "adults". We were staying at POP end of August. Then got the PIN for free dining. We wanted to upgrade to full dining plan, which is something like $18 per person per night. When we added the difference for our six nights, it was less than $100 total to just upgrade to a moderate and get the dining plan we wanted. We chose POFQ and can't wait to try it out! It's definitely worth pricing out!

I'd pick Pop. Stayed ASMu once & Pop 3 x's. only ever stayed Value. This year we are trying POFQ! Staying one less night for the same price as Pop. We chose to stay 6 nights vs 7 so we can stay in a different/new resort.

Thank you everyone! I think Pop sounds better too! Is there a particular building we should aim for to stay away from.

Last time we were there we participated in a fridge swap, but now it seems there are fridges.in the rooms?!?!? Can anyone confirm for both resorts? Thank you!

Yea there is a small fridge in each room, but it does not have a freezer.
