ASMu to AK... close enough to walk?

Just curious if the Animal Kingdom is close enough to ASMu to walk there, rather than bussing it. Darn hubby won't spring for a rental car, cheapskate It *looks* pretty close according to the map I was checking out, but looks can be deceiving!

No, there's a highway in between, no walkway. Probably at least 2 miles.

It's not really a good idea to try to walk- the resort is actually a good way away, and you'd have to cross some awfully busy roads to get there. Disney isn't really set up for pedestrians (except WITHIN the parks and resorts), and you will be doing so much walking anyway, why not use the transportation system? It really is very good. Honestly, you'll get there faster and be in much better shape to walk all day if you let Disney do the driving.

you already learned that "nope" it's not walk-able... but what no one has told you yet is how great the disney transport system is... dh is not being a "cheapskate" he's making a wise decision not to rent a car! LOL! taking wdw buses is a part of the fun for us! we love them! they are quick, efficient, fun, easy to navigate, and best of all... FREE!!
