We are staying in the ASMu in Dec as many of you already know b/c of my previous post. I am looking for suggestions on what to request. Which building is the best theme wise, which has the best location. We are not concerned with too concerned about noise so we don't care if we are close to the pools or not. I am not expecting fabulous views but any room #'s that have had decent views would be greatly appreciated. The other thing on my mind is transfers... I normally go through Tiffany but b/c we are traveling with friends on a slightly smaller budget we talked about Mears. I am wondering if anyone knows where the AS resorts fall on there drop off schedule, is the resort at the beginning or closer to the end? Well again thank you in advance for any responses!!!

Stayed at Music last Nov and loved it! Not sure of rooms with views. We were in the Country Fair building which is one of the last buildings so it was quite a hike from the food court/buses. As for Mears - it is something like $24.00 pp so depending on the number in your party it may be cheaper for a towncar or van. If I remember right Mears has different buses for different resorts. I think the all stars have their own bus and Music was the second stop. Hope this helps.

Stayed at ASMu a few times and the best building to request is Jazz. They are the closest to the food court/busses without paying for a preferred room. I've also stayed in Broadway which is the next set of buildings down and was also nice. I always request 3rd floor so there's nobody above me!!!

Hope this helps!! :smooth:

PS - If you have 4 or more travelling together, I'd suggest a Town car instead of Mears...if only 2 people, Mears is the cheapest way to go!!!

My 8th stay at ASMu will be in early December . I try to stay in the Jazz section. It is close to Melody hall and does not have the extra $10 added for preffered view. Go over to Deb's site she has a lot of information on the All Stars with building and resort maps.
I would recommend trying to stay away from Country Fair and Rock Inn they have the longest walks.
Sorry dont know when since I always drive but Mears drops off very close to the front lobby.

we just got back from our honeymoon...we stayed at ASMu in the broadway section and loved it! we were in room 8656. it was on the third floor and faced the other broadway building. from our room, you could see the "quiet" pool (piano pool) and the area between the 2 broadway buildings. we were very near the stairs but a small hike to elevators. and it was a bit of a hike to the main building for the food court and the bus stops, but it's a nice walk...it was so cool to see the pictures in the lobby of various music artists as well as beauty and the beast, lion king, and aida. it was way cool to see pictures of my former classmate, heather headley, as aida!

The last time I stayed at the All Star Music I was in the Calypso section and it was wonderful! You didn't have to pay extra to stay in Calypso on that trip though. It wouldn't be worth it to pay more to be in that section. The Jazz section is right next to Calypso; it would probably make your walk to Melody Hall a whopping 15 seconds longer, if even that long. Definately go for the Jazz section!
