ASMu pool view-Yay or Nay?

We'll be staying at music for the first time on our next trip. Considering that we'll be there 12 nights, location is rather important to me. I'm wondering how noisey a pool view really is at this resort. I booked preferred so I know we'll be somewhere in the realm of the main pool. I was thinking of requesting close to food court, pool view, bottom or top floor. If it's really bad on noise, I may scrap the pool view part, but I like the idea of seeing that vs a parking lot.

I would never pay for a view at any of the value or moderate resorts. They have outside motel like hallways with railings on them so you most likely aren't even going to open your curtains most of the time since anyone walking by is going to see in your room. There are plenty of places in all the resorts to go and sit and relax and look at things. I also wouldn't want to be near the main pool, they can be pretty noisy. I don't pay for preferred either, I have stayed at Pop, ASSp, POR, CBR and have not found the walk to the food court at any of those resorts, even from the farthest building more than 7 or 8 min. at most.

I'm not paying for the view, I'm paying for location. If we had a room facing the pool, it would be slightly more convenient with my kids meaning I could watch them if they ran back to the room or just quicker access to pool if we had ground floor, etc. Also not being on parking lot side makes it feel more resort-like, but that's a minimal concern. Anyhow, I've stayed at values and mods preferred and non preferred. I know from experience I like and want preferred locations. The view is another story. That being said, I know some resorts have very noisy pool areas due to the acoustics from how the building are arranged, size of pool etc... so am just looking for feedback from anyone who has experience at ASMu specifically. When we stayed at POP, we had pool view at 50s and noise was not an issue. When we stayed at BWI, the pool area was rather loud at times and more boxed in by the building so I felt anyone with that view was probably having some noise issues. So not all resorts will be the same, which is why I'm asking.

There is a lot of landscaping/ bushes between the building and the pools. I didn't find the pool very noisy, although we were there last January and it wasn't very crowded. But with the landscaping, it acts as a bit of a sound barrier, which is helpful.

There is actually no Pool View category at the All-Star resorts. There is one at POP Century. At the All-Stars you can book Preferred and request a view of the pool but it's just a request and may not be granted. You could be on the back side of one of the preferred buildings. Still a good location IMO.

We had a ground floor room facing the pool at ASMO when we took our granddaughters the first time. I loved the location and didn't find it to be noisy enough that it was bothersome.

I really don't think it will be an issue! You will be so tired from the day, I doubt you will hear anything from the pool! Guests walking/running by your room is another issue!

Right, I'm only asking so I can call to put in my requests. I already booked a preferred room in Calypso. If pool side isn't bad noise wise then I'm requesting that and just hoping for the best.
