Has anyone stayed at any of the All Stars and requested a king size bed? If you did and got it, did it cost more? I have reservations for next month. I requested a non-smoking room, a king bed in the Jazz section. The first confirmation letter I got from Disney, listed all my requests. I paid off the balance and just received my hotel voucher and it stated that standard rooms at the All Stars have two double beds...king size beds are available at an additional charge. What's up with that???

We stayed at the ASMu a few years ago and I don't remember there being an extra charge for a King size bed. We did get charged though for the rollaway we needed for our daughter. This was probably about four years ago, so maybe things have changed, but I don't see the rational of charging extra for a King versus two double beds. I did notice you're staying in the Jazz section, I think that's the preferred section. Maybe that's why you're being charged extra.

When I stayed at the ASMusic last year, they asked me if I'd be willing to take a king bed when I checked in. They told me if was a handicapped room. However, it had a tub and didn't appear much different than a "regular" room. One nice perk-it had a refrigerator-I never used it, but it appeared to work. I never got charged extra, but perhaps if I'd used the refrigerator? The room was on the third floor of Jazz Inn, and I sometimes wondered how convenient that would have been for a person in a wheelchair.

Calypso are the prefered buildings.
