ASMu/AKL Split Stay or 14 Nights Coronado?

I didn't like CSR but I know it has a lot of fans. I would do the split stay.

yeah, check the points calculator over on the DVC boards. Then you can contact some posters there who offer their points for rent to see availability for AKL. It's possible to find points for $10 there!

If you prefer peace of mind, rent from David, but the cost per point there is $13 (see ad at top of the page)

Thanks, had a look at the boards and Davids site. I'm actually shocked at how good value renting points is, what's the catch?

You have to trust the person you rent the points off. I have had fantastic service, but it was only for a couple of nights. I have read horror stories about people turning up and their reservation doesnt exist.

Your room also does not get cleaned daily. For me this is really important, so we could only do a max of a couple of nights renting points. Personally I dont see how a stay could be deluxe if I am having to make my own bed and wash towels :rotfl:

We loved CSR - much nicer than a value, but very different and more adult than the all stars. I would go for WL, unless I was driving as AKL is too remote for me.

The lack of Mousekeeping doesn't bother me at all. I'd use Davids site for peace of mind too. I've gone from a week at CSR, to two weeks, to a split stay between ASMu and AKL, to renting DVC points at AKLV. :lmao: Thanks for the help guys.

I've had an amazing experience as well, rented a whole reservation and paid onsite as the member was there at the same time.
It was pure luck!

I do understand that it can turn out bad at times if you pay in advance and place your trust in strangers.

Not having mousekeeping everyday doesn't bother me when going solo or with only 2 ppl. But you could always pay to have that service added as you like (still cheaper).

David sometimes has some specials, albeit limited in choice (as in SSR $9 per point), if you sign up for this thru his site.

I have rented off two british people and they have provided excellent service. I payed £6.50 and £7 a point which is great for us. I dont know if I would be as happy renting from a US member but that is not to slate them.I would check for references . Ben we are hoping to buy ourselves this time so watch this space. Dont for get to let us know where you book. We are at AKLV from the 17th -23rd. Also let me know your seat numbers so we can say hi on the flight:cool1::thumbsup2
