Where is the best place to request a room near the bus,food court/pool? I will need a scooter at parks but want to be able to walk within the resort. TIA!

You will either want to request Toy Story or Dalmatians section as these are the two nearest buildings to Cinema Hall. These are preferred rooms.

You should get a map and request a specific building number to be closest...Personally I didn't feel the resort was that big. We were back in the Herbie section and the walk took me about 2 minutes alone and 5 with my (then) 2.5 year old.

I think the Fantasia building would be closest to Cinema Hall but only the first building on either side. Same thing with the Toy Story building. The first one will be close, but other ones back all the way to the parking lot and is a little more of a walk. I was actually surprised the Dalmatian buildings are considered preferred because they seemed a little far for preferred rooms. Though that may just be perception and is probably is as close as the Toy Story rooms.

If you want a standard room the Mighty Ducks is literally right beside the bus/food court at ASMu. You only have to cross the roadway into the parking lot.

The resort maps are a little deceiving. The buildings are not as spread out as they look.

This is our trick. We request this building each trip now. Plus that pool has been empty each time we were there.
