I have a few more questions as I plan more in depth for our trip.
I have been looking at the resort map for asmo and it appears there is not even temp. parking to unload luggage?? so my question is this... are there luggage racks, like the rolling kind, that you can push out to your can to get your stuff? or do you just have to carry everything? the only hotels Ive ever stayed in you park right by your room and no problems getting bags to room. or is it easier to use luggage services?? I got the preferred room and will be requesting building 10

All of the All Star resorts have a porte-cochere with large rolling luggage carts. If you ask one of the folks outside in red, they will assist you with unloading your vehicle and offer to bring your things up to the room (keeping in mind that Value resort luggage assistance ≠ bell services, and there may be a lengthy delay between unload and delivery). Unlike moderate and deluxe resorts, you may also use a luggage cart by yourself if you wish (at moderate and deluxe resorts, a bell cart always comes with a bellman).

Having said that, it may be just as well to pull up to the parking lot closest to your building and unloading things that way. All buildings are fairly close to the parking lots that surround the resort, and to be honest, unless you have a dozen+ bags, it should be a non-issue.

Im not really sure how many bags we will have but we are driving down and have 3 young kids.... so at least 6 bags/suitcases, plus food, drinks & etc ~~~~~~~ do they have Elevators??

yes the buildings have elevators. i think its only one to a building so depending where you are located it could be a hike.

There are two centrally located elevators in each building. They are side by side.

For the OP - I've found that when driving.. there IS parking for check-in. Typically I check-in without luggage and bags.. and find out the room location. Then I drive the car to the nearest parking location to that building.

This is a MUCH better plan than lugging 3 kids, six suitcases and lord knows what else along the pathways of the resort.

So-- let's say I get placed in building 7 " The LOVE BUG building, then I would drive down "SHOW BIZ" lane to the nearest parking area to that building.

It's much better to do it this way.
