OK, I am sure there are about four hundred posts about this resort, but, being a newbie (:confused3) of course I cannot find any. Please respond if you have been to the ASM and what they have to offer, what you liked or disliked about it. You will be doing me a huge favor. We would like to stay in the 101 Dalmations because we are huge fans of the movie. Let me know if you have stayed there and anything, just anything to tell.

Thanks,

puppyears

::yes::

We stayed there about two years ago, and it was in the Dalmation rooms, I believe. I thought I would be a little disapointed, but it was great!! The kids LOVED it, and we are thinking about going this November and my daughter wants to stay there again-even after showing her all the other resorts! That section is also close to the buses at ASMusic, so we rode them. It's a cute resort, and the kids loved the pools ( fantasia especially!) The food was good in the cafeteria and housekeeping as great! ( even though they really didnt speak english! ) I was even late coming back to the resort on my last day, and they PACKED for me and had my bags waiting in the lobby!! Guess they wanted to get rid of me!! :cool1:

Hi and welcome.:cheer2:
I stayed at All Star Movies this past November. We didn't stay in the Dalmation section we stayed in the Woody section. Loved it! We had a connecting room with my Mom and Sister. The pools were great. We especially enjoyed the Main Pool. It was huge our kids really enjoyed it. We only ate at the food court for breakfast, we enjoyed it, all our other meals were out at the parks. We enjoyed all the cool themed buildings and it had a nice gift shop. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus.
We would stay there again.:beach:

we stayed there twice, once in May 2006 and again in December 2006. The resort itself is a lot of fun, has great theming, the food court is great, etc. We stayed in 101 Dalmations in December and also stayed in Fantasia on our May trip. The only differences in the rooms themselves is the wallpaper border...literally. All buildings are a good location because if you are too far from the food court/bus stop/pool, you can use the ones at All Star Music.

The rooms are decent size if you are planning on spending most of your time in the parks like we do. Everything was always clean, but you can hear the showers/toilets of the rooms surrounding you running...although I have to say that we have stayed at two moderates and we have had the same experience. It's not overly loud to the point where you can't sleep or anything...just something to point out so you know to expect it.

The Fantasia pool is great!

The only issue we ever have with ASMo, and this happened BOTH times we stayed, is that check-in/check-out takes FOREVER! I don't know if they use the values to train new CM's or what but I swear we had a new CM both times we checked in, and checking out for whatever reason is just unnecessarily slow. They always have a line out the door and two CM's at the desk (:confused3 ) with several others walking around behind the counter supervising. Just be prepared to wait a while and repeat yourself multiple times :sad2:

We get in at 6AM - so hopefully the line won't be astronomically long at that time.

Anyone know what's the earliest you've ever been able to get a room here at? Like what time? We get in at 6AM and I hardly doubt we'll be able to get a room that early....but maybe so??
