ASMovies vs CBR

Hello all,

I'm new to the forum, and I'm planning a trip for October of 2008. I have ressies for ASMovies, but since I use to be a cast member at CBR during my college program, I was thinking I should change my ressies to CBR. My only concern is that is an additional 350 dollars and my boyfriend is being a real penny pusher on this trip. Any advise?

Go for it if you really want it. It's still more than 13 months from now. $350,- = $20,- extra per month to safe from now. Think you could (and want to) do that? Just putting aside the small cash after a trip to the groceriestore, get a day per month less take out, safe up on buying a couple of cups of coffee a month less while on the go.

Also, there are codes coming out regularly which can safe you a lot of money. If there comes one available for october 2008 (at the moment they've got codes for oct2007, so you know you'll have to sit tight and be patient for codes for your trip to become available), you jump on that. If you book with a TA like DU, they'll watch it for you and apply the code so you wouldn't even have to keep a close eye on it.

Just to give you an idea of the possible savings with a code; at first I had the free dining for my upcoming trip at ASMo. I decided to change to CBR. While I could still do that and get the free dining, turned out that there was a code at that moment that would safe me even a bit more. For 10 days at CBR, 1 person, 9 day MYW+hopper and DDP I saved allmost $400,- off the rackrate.

If a special comes out then I would tell you to switch it... but if it doesnt then stick w/ your original plan... save the money and spend it on shopping!
