ASMovies Location

My dds are great fans of 101 Dalmations. They have a big collections of stuffed dalmations and have all the movies and tv series.
How is a good way to get a room there? As far as I know it's not preferred yet though I wouldn't mind paying extra to make sure I get it for them. I know about putting it on the reservations and also to fax in a request 3 days before hand. Would there be more chance if I check in early and tell them how much it means to them? I will be just coming back from a very, very long work trip and would like to make this trip special for them. My 6yo dd is still asking to stay there since our last visit last year (we stayed in ASMu then but visited the ASMo)
I've read Toy Story is preferred now which would be my second choice if I could not get "the puppies".
Any suggestions would help. Thanks so much

The first time we stayed at the Movies, I had requested Toy Story, and even though we checked in around 10:00 AM, we were given Love Bug. Well, we really liked Love Bug - it was so quiet, and a really short walk to the food court/bus stop.

Our second time staying at the Movies, I requested 101 Dalmations because my 5 yr old DD was begging to stay with Oddball and 102 Dalmations! Anyway, our plane didn't land til after midnight, and we checked in around 1:00 AM! Even though my daughter had fallen asleep on the ride from the airport, she woke up and the look on her face was priceless when she heard the CM say we were in 101 Dalmations! She danced all the way to the room!!! Again, our room location was great - very quiet and still a short walk to the food court/bus stop.

I would suggest just faxing your request a few days before you arrive. And, don't worry about a late check in - it worked out just fine for us. On our first stay, my youngest DD had asked about staying with Jessie and Toy Story. When we were assigned Love Bug, I was really disappointed because I thought she would be disappointed. She was so excited to be at Disney again that she didn't even ask about Toy Story! We did go play in the area outside by "Andy's Room" - and she was just as happy! Don't fret about it - it'll all work out!

I've read Toy Story is preferred now...

I just got off the phone with WDTC from making my reservations for ASMo in Oct using the Fairytale Package and was specifically interested in staying in one of the Toy Story buildings (because my 5 yo son loves Woody & Buzz). When "Maxine" asked me if I wanted a Preferred location, I asked her whether Toy Story was a Preferred or Standard location. She said that only the Fantasia buildings are listed as Preferred in their computer system. So I put in my request for Toy Story. But, as others have noted, your mileage may vary depending on the operator you speak with.

I would fax your request ahead of time and also ask upon check-in. I'm sure they will accomodate if possible. GOOD LUCK!!!
