I posted in another thread that the halt of renovations at Movies has led my family to a dilemma.

We are going in early June with my two hockey loving boys, ages 8 and 5. We were going to request Mighty Ducks and cross our fingers. The boys are soooooo excited, they love the pool pictures etc.

But I assumed the resort would be fully renovated. Two double beds is kinda a deal breaker :-(

Now we’re exploring options and not sure what to do:

A) Take our chances and stay at Movies, cross everything the renos start again soon

B) Request a renovated room at Movies (knowing we may not get it) and still be able to visit the Mighty Ducks pool etc

C) Switch to POP. The theme does absolutely nothing for me or the boys, but we would have queen beds.

D) We love POR. The cost is just prohibitive this time. We were planning on using the money saved on the resort to book a paid event (EMM or a dessert party). But we could do this instead, but the idea doesn’t thrill me.

What would you do in our situation? Anyone want to sell me on POP?

(We are going for 7 nights and plan on hitting all the parks at rope drop and doing midday breaks. We would also like to do Disney Sorings thanks to the Disney channel commercials for The Void for our 8yo lol)

We are doing 7 nights this April and are doing POP. We went this past year and had a renovated room and LOVED it it so much that we booked it again. Here's why:

-All rooms are renovated now (queen beds over full size is huge...literally),
-Dedicated bus line (saved a TON of time),
-Price (allows us to use money saved on premium experiences like dessert parties, DAH, ADRs, etc.),
-We primarily spend most of our time in the parks anyway and come back for breaks as needed,
-We are also using one of the afternoons to hit the Springs and do The Void,
-One of the days we are hitting one of the water parks so get our slides and wave pool fix,
-Did I say we like POP?

In the end no matter what you choose it will work out...it's Disney...
