ASM Priceline & guaranteed non-smoking

So, I am checking in to ASM on Tuesday with my DS5 and we both have severe asthma so we always get guaranteed non smoking noted on the reservation. Well, due to getting the Priceline deal thing, I wasn't sure how to proceed. Priceline says to contact hotel for questions. So I caled Dis reservations this morning and I inputted my Hotel confirmation number and answered all of the questions and a CM phone person came on the line. She asked my name, gave it, and she said I wasn't in the system.

So, I said I have to be in there somewhere and I need to get a guaranteed NS room. And I said it was a Priceline reservation. She puts me on hold, comes back and tells me to call priceline and she can't do anything for me. So I asked for special services/ADA desk and she didn't have a clue. So I was put on hold again. Voices talking in the background told her to send me to the main switchboard since she didn't know what to do.

So, I go to the main switchboard, a nice lady asks what resort I need and when I am checking in and I get transferred to ASM front desk. CM asks my name, I give it, and she asks what I need. I tell her a guarantee NS room and state how hard it has been to get help with this one little request. She says ok - I've put you in a guaranteed NS PREFERRED room. So I tell her that we are there for 2 nights with 2 different reservation numbers - she attaches them together so we don't have to move! What a nice woman!

So, if you get a CM who doesn't know what to do with PRICELINE requests, wait until 5 days before your arrival date so you are in the hotel system and call the front desk!

Personally this is a risk I would not take....

There are cases where I don't recommend PL and this might be one of them. If you HAVE to have special requests PL is NOT the way to go..... It may be "one little request" but it's a "request" and generally you are going to the bottom of the list on "requests" on PL. I am glad you got what you want, but it could easily have been "we are out of nonsmoking and you are stuck"

Can I ask how you got ASM on PL? My sister would LOVE to stay on Disney property with us, but right now is booked at a DD hotel. Also what dates are you going and what price did you get?

I got a ns - I have allergies and the AS had no problem getting me what I needed. yes even with priceline.

priceline doesn't send the information to the resort until a couple of days before you leave - so try back then.

remember don't go with priceline if you can't take the other places..... now that holiday Inn niki is gone - I really like the other places.... of course I travel with Spicey and all the other places allow pets....

I haven't used Priceline in years, not since I got the Dolphin on there for $69, but I thought the last time I used it it was a Priceline room for 2 people, non-smoking requested y Priceline. Guess I assumed it was still the same way. But upon further review, it seems it is only for 2 adults now. Anyway, if it was requested to Disney, I don't think it is a hardship to get it guaranteed. BUt, if it hadn't worked out with a NS room we would have just driven home - not too far away for us to make a day trip.

It's the non smoking requested vs guranteed that would make me nervous in your case....

Disney may very well be easier to deal with then other folks..

Also, I think that even though your reservations have been linked you still have to go check in and out. Every time I have had linked reservations I have had to do that. (They sometimes say I won't bu then the key quits working)
