Hello! I was wondering who to contact for asking off for my high school graduation. I know CPers have a recruiter they talk to; I didn't know if it was the same for the CSers? And if so, how do I contact them?

Thanks!

If you have not arrived in Florida yet, you should contact Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Florida-Site College Recruiting on (407) 828-1000 and explain your situation to them.

If you have already arrived, you should submit your request to your Local Labor Office through the Labor Service Center, accessible via The Hub or by calling (407) WDW-LABOR.

No, I go down in February. Thanks!

I'm also curious how they are with granting time off for things which had already been planned before signing up for the program. Like let's say...my mom and I have tickets for the Final Four...things of that nature. :)

When you accept your offer to the college program you are agreeing to 100% full availability. Meaning 24/7, basically... days, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

If you have arrangements already made, it is your responsibility to request it off the moment you know. Disney is pretty good about working with you, but if they are unable to grant you your request than you have a couple choices...

1. trade your shift/give away your shift - this is done on the hub and it may or may not be approved.

2. Call in - depending on how many days you wouldn't be able to work, could result in getting a reprimand though and point totals add up quickly. I would not call in if you don't have to as it can affect your chances of extension and the points do go on your record card.

If you can at all swing it, request off the dates immediately after getting access to the hub/ call a recruiter for them to make note in your file and then if it doesn't get approved, try to switch with someone as soon as you can!

Good luck!!!!:goodvibes

This is good to know. I had the same question. My boyfriend will be graduating from Basic Training and I really don't want to miss that!
