Asking here and Transp. board...

We need to get to Cape May's for character brkfst PS from CBR. From what I understand, we need to take the bus to Epcot, and then walk/take a boat to the Boardwalk, is that right? So we should allow at least an hour to travel from our room to the rest.? Any help is appreciated.

Take the bus to Epcot and then walk through Future World. When you get to World Showcase go right and continue past United Kingdom until you get to the exit. You'll probably want a hand stamp to re-enter later. Do NOT walk towards Bordwalk. Continue walking straight and you will see a walkway on your left to ESPN and Boardwalk. Keep going straight (do not head towards ESPN/Boardwalk). In a few seconds the Beach Club will be on your right. Enter through the lobby and you will see Cape May Cafe.
We did not do breakfast there last week, but their evening Clam Bake is fabulous!!!!!!

ps.....unless a boat is right there when you exit Epcot it's MUCH faster to just walk. Five minutes or so from the exit, after you walk all through Epcot (another 15-20 minutes).

Someone on the Transportation Board has a better idea. Take the bus to the Studios and the boat to Yacht/Beach Clubs. This will save a LOT of walking. Probably won't save much (if any) time so leave a lot of time to get there.

I've found that the MGM buses run more frequently at CBR ... but the boats are slow but that's probably me being impatient ... I got off at the first stop which was the Swan/Dolphin and walked around the Boardwalk to YC/BC and I beat the boat there. Of course, I didn't have any kids with me so that made it a bit easier.

Keep in mind that if you go through Epcot, you'll need to use your PH to enter which will subtract a day from your pass ... something to keep in mind if you're not planning on going to the parks that day

I don't often suggest this, but in your particular case I would take a taxi. From CBR to BC is about 2-3 miles and will will run you about $5-6. It will be well worth it to avoid the roundabout way you would have to travel otherwise.

It also depends on what time your PS is for. If it's before Epcot opens then you'll need to take the MGM bus and boat or walk to YC/BC since you won't be able to walk through Epcot. I'm not sure which would be a shorter walk - through Epcot or from MGM. But you can walk all the way around from the bus drop-off at MGM to YC/BC.

Thanks all for the replies. DS is celebrating his 9 b-day there and hopes tosee Pluto. The Cape May character Bkfst seems perfect except for the travel We may think about the taxi, the extra sleep-in time is pretty tempting!
