Hi all
We offered 73 PP and it was accepted and now we start the process that many of you have gone through before. We do currently own and purchased direct, yet now we are doing so with resale (wiser than before)

OKW2057160-10-1122 Old Key West-Sale Pending 160 October $459.00 934.40 $12,320.00
86 points currently available and 160 points coming on 10/1/15. EXPIRES 2057. Priced at $77 per point.

Although we already got to this point and are now moving toward ROFR..what do you all think of our decision. Thanks

Personally I would have bought a resort that is difficult to book at 7 months.

I assume that your other contract has an Oct UY and that you are titling the deed the same as your first contract to keep both under one membership account.

If you are happy with the deal that is all that counts. Do not second guess yourself.

I think you did well. Personally, I don't think its an issue to have a different use year or more then one membership number. We have 2, and it works out fine. In fact I feel 2 use years increases your booking flexibility,

I second that, and I've owned at OKW since 1993.

My sister bought BLT right before it sold out (direct) and got a great price. Then she couldn't get in there for her first stay and took my advice and tried OKW.

Her next trip, she stayed at BLT. She loved the convenience.

But she also noted the difference in the points and the sizes of the rooms. She can do more nights at OKW or more trips. This week she is back at OKW. Next summer, she'll be at BLT again.

She has the best of both worlds in that she owns at a tougher to book resort and can use her 11 month window if she wants, but also can use those points at 7 months for longer stays at places like OKW which are easier to book at 7 months..

I, on the other hand, owning at OKW, have a for the most part an unneeded 11 month window there, due to it's size, and to try for a place like BLT at 7 months is usually a toss up.

More points is more points, you can't go wrong. Congrats on the first step. Should pass ROFR without a problem.

I think that's a good price for a 2057 contract. Good luck with ROFR!

Thank you everyone. We are now awaiting ROFR.
I wont say this is an enjoyable time, yet we are patient.

Have a great rest of the month and I will update in the ROFR Thread when its time.

I agree that if you are happy, that's all that matters! Our points are at SSR but we have used them at VWL, AKV, and HHI without any problems. Good luck with ROFR!!
