We haven't been to paris before or used eurotunnel so looking for some advice.

Where do we park? how much is it? We need a travel lodge or something for the night before we go can anyone recommend any where?

Eurotunnel is where you take your car with you - is this what you are doing in which case you only need to park and stay the night before or do you mean Eurostar where you will leave your car in Ashford for the whole time you are in France?

We go by Eurotunnel and usually go to Ashford the day before and stay in the Travel Lodge which is about 5 mins drive from the tunnel. It is on an entertainment park where there are several eating places including pizza hut, Frankie and Bennys, B King

Cant really help if you are going by Eurostar (which is at a different terminal) and leaving the car but I think there is a carpark there but Im not sure how much it costs

Lol i didn't know there was a difference, we are not taking the car we want to leave it at ashford, so we will be using Eurostar. I will check online for the travel lodge.

Ive also heard someone mention they've used Holiday Inn in Ashford as well

I think parking at Ashford is £11 a day. Parking is easy, right by the terminal. It's a really stress-free way of travelling, we've found. Although I'm a bit worried about not getting seats together, as Eurostar can't guarantee it if you book a package directly with DRLP. And as Ashford is the 2nd stop, I'm hoping all the seats aren't taken in London!

I am not sure how helpful this will be, if you have not already booked a package with a direct train to Disney included, do consider 'independent travel'. We do this and find it easy, cheaper and convenient.

Book your hotel/ticket package with DLP direct, then book the Eurostar direct with Eurostar. that way you'll get tickets from Ashford and will have reserved seats etc.

We get any old train direct to Paris - best price we have ever achieved is just under £60 return for two adults (total - not each!), more usually its £29.50 pp each way so about £120 all in. Then change in Paris, go from GdN to Chatelet then hop on the A line RER to MLV.

Think its about 12 bucks for the trip (each) and takes 40 mins.

Ok so you're travelling alone and not on the Disney direct train, but you get much more choice in train times and can extend your time in the parks if you wish. Trains are less crowded, quieter. Although not direct and you have to do a bit of metro/rer on your own, its only 2 hours to Paris GdN from Ashford so even with a 40 min trip to get from GdN to MLV, you don't lose out too much. I think its worth a bit of extra hassle factor for the increased choice and decreased cost.

(I have travelled the disney direct service before, so this isn't totally uninformed! - but, only once, in 2000).

As for car parking we often do this (we live in Kent) and its safe, secure, and about £12 per day. remember you pay for part days too as well so a three night stay in the car park is in fact five days' worth of charges.

The first time we went by Eurostar we stayed at a Travel Lodge and parked at Ashford Station it was very easy although quite expensive IMHO.

The second time we stayed here http://www.hayesbank.com/index.html
It was very reasonable for overnight B&B before departure and on return for 2 families and included leaving our cars for a one week duration, a big saving on the parking fees for 2 cars. We booked taxis for the 5 minute journey to the station.
This was in 2006 and if I didn't know that Fawlty Towers had been written many years before I could've imagined it was based on this place.
Having said that the host was very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us and they were just starting out as a Guesthouse, but he did everything including breakfast, which was plentiful and included a cooked breakfast if you wanted, his very beautiful wife floated around the place. It was this that made it seem so chaotic, this guy was being pulled in 6 different directions at the same time.
If you're looking for somewhere reasonably priced, friendly and clean then give them a ring. I'm really not a 100% sure about the 3 star status, but it may have improved since we stayed there. :)
