Well the ash is back :scared1::scared1::scared1:
second day I've had to change DM flights she was meant to fly to NYC Sunday morning , then Monday now it is Tuesday morning :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

anyone else been delayed

No, but I'm starting to get a little nervous about my June trip :sad2:

:wizard::wizard: Let's hope the volcano calms down sometime soon :wizard::wizard:

 hope you get the flights sorted soon, im amazed it has gone on this long !

hope your flights get sorted soon and that the volcano does not cause too many more problems

Very much agreed on this - I'm meant to be flying for a short break on the 29th (returning on 2nd June), so I'm keeping a keen eye on the reports ;)

After having a few sleepless nights last week my flight wasn't delayed by the ash but the threat of it ruining my trip spoilt the usual build up for holidays.

My neighbour's flights was cancelled today and rescheduled for tomorrow, he came round in a panic about it as my hubbie is his boss but I said nothing anyone could do so don't panic (says me that panicked last week :lmao:).

Often thought it would be better if the volcano errupted but heard the impact of that could be far worse so wish it would just go back to sleep for years and years.

The CAA have introduced new rules regarding the ash:

Here is the article, finally they are using a bit of sense after the airlines, manufacturers & engine manufacturers have all said the planes will be able to cope flying in it after the tests. Hopefully fewer peoples holidays will be spoilt now:thumbsup2

I really hope it all goes away, so much disruption has already been caused - although obviously it is much better to be delayed than to be in a volcanic ash induced accident! It is good to see airlines being very cautious for the safety of passengers rather than for their own pockets.

I personally have no flights booked this summer to worry about, but we're meant to be going to DLRP - and have just started considering driving all the way there from Aberdeen :scared1:

Its the CAA who are grounding the planes, the airlines don't agree with it as its costing them more in compensation, disruption, cancellations etc.

She's in the air
was able to get her on a flight out of Shannon this morning

Funny I haven't heard her worrying about getting home
