ASD limited eater special requests (hot dogs!)

No problem. She doesn't normally eat hot dogs to be honest but Disney restaurants don't really offer what she normally eats.

My son is food picky too--he has foods he'll eat sometimes, but then won't touch the next day and 99% of what WDW has are on the not in this lifetime list. A very nice CM at the Norway counter heard me grumbling about this and asked if any of the *parts* of meals they had would work. It did. From then on we did the same at other CS and at TS we told the waitstaff about the issues. In one case the waitstaff even took back a meal that I thought was going to work but was rejected on sight----they then helped us cobble together something he would eat. In any case, as the CM in Norway said, tell the CM and they may be able to help you find workable alternatives to what is listed on the main menu.

I feel for you, my son is autistic, and has sensory and oral motor issues that limit his diet. I always thought if a kid got hungry, they'd eat. But then ds lost over 20% of his body weight, was getting lathargic and they started talking about feeding tubes. With years of therapy, and a little luck since he will eat round foods, he does ok. Thankfully nature makes a lot of round food! Just not much round meat, so we struggle with anemia and protein intake.

One weird thing, he will eat most wdw food. He ate the pizza sandwiches at sunshine seasons! You never know, your dd may surprise you. For some reason, ds does somuchbetter at wdw, in some areas.

Can you bring some of your own food?
