Checked out of Fairfield Inn LBV. Gutted really - we are only checking out because they could only do 6 nights - get the feeling that MLK weekend is going to be BUSY!!!
We had decided to try the Ramada Plaza on 192 as the price was a bargain £15 per room per night. It had mixed reviews on trip advisor but can say we are pleasantly surprised. Yes it is a motel style room but it is clean and is only somewhere it sleep so our opinion is BARGAIN!!!
We were able to check in early, dumped the cases and headed to EPCOT. All I can say is it was HEAVING!!!!! Never seen anything like it at this time of year. Mission Space and Test Track was 70 min wait and Soarin was 90 mins!!!! We grabbed a fast pass for TT and headed round world showcase. We met Mexican donald in Mexico which was cool and then went on the boat ride with the new cartoon additions - nice ride.
Grabbed a frozen margarita and carried on round, meeting Liverlips on the way - another first for us - lol!!!!!
Stopped off at the Rose & Crown for DH to have a boddingtons. I had a Mai tai and we grabbed a basket of fish n chips. Don't know if anyone else has ever met HEAD HONCHO (old guy with cap on saying Head Honcho, always had old dolly birds around him) in the rose & Crown?? Unfortunately, he wasn't in today - BOOOO!!
We people watched for a while before heading over to the Character Connection which surprise surprise was PACKED. We gave it a miss and headed to Spaceship Earth which was only 10mins. I had heard bad reviews of the new changes but we were both pleasantly surprised and the twist at the end is funny - I wont spoil it!!!
After this it was time for Test Track and apart from being barged out of the way by this man that must have thought TT was about to close as we exited the holding room, it was an enjoyable ride!!!
After another mooch around World showcase it was time to Camp out for Illuminations. Tissues at the ready as the same spot in this show always makes me cry and I didn't disappoint again - lol!!!
Grabbed a Subway and headed back to the hotel.
