We were both awake at 4:30 this morning and ready to go.
As it was the Disney Marathon today, we had decided to avoid the area completely and drive over to Tampa to Busch Gardens.
We headed down for our complimentary breakfast at 7:00 and stocked up. Neil made himself some waffles and I had cornflakes and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. I grabbed a banana for the trip, along with a couple of coffees!!!!
We drove the hour to Busch and the I4 was really queit, so we enjoyed the drive listening to some tunes as we went (cant beat a bit of Bon Jovi at full volume lol).
Arrived at Busch just before 9 and they had just started letting cars on the car park. We have platinum passes which we just had to show and were given our preferred parking pass. Parked up and walked over to the entrance. The park didnt open until 9:30 so we waited at the rope. I band came and entertained us for 10 mins and then the rope dropped. We headed for Rhino Rally and came across another rope - this part of the park didnt open until 10!!!!!!!
We went and walked around some of the nearby animals and came back for rope drop at 10. We were first on rhino rally and were a bit disappointed with the lack of animals, although when the truck turns into a boat sort of makes up for it!!
The park in general was empty and we walked on all coasters, re-ride privilages were good but we could have just got off and walked back on again it was that quiet. When we went to Pirates 4D, there were 6 of us in the whole theatre!!!!!!!
Grabbed a hot dog for lunch and went to feed the birds. I LOVED this and could have spent all day in here. I loved the way the birds land on you and lick you and bite - lol!
Watched a rock n roll show which was ok apart from the strange woman next to me - i always get them. I think she was a groupie of the band!!!
At the end of the day we caught the last beer school and then headed back at 6pm.
Busy drive home but only took an hour and we were going to get changed quickly and head over to Bahama Breeze but I fell asleep straight away and left DH to nip out on his own to grab a pizza and watch Harry Potter - sorry Neil - i was tired!!!!!
