I was just playing around with the renting points thing from David's, and it looks like we could get a 1 bedroom value? villa for not too much more then rack rates at POR for that time. Then I youtubed a video of the 1 bedroom there....hmmmm not bad!!

The value villas are only at Jambo House and only sleep 4 they are about 3 ft shorter than a normal 1 Bdrm villa and do not have a sleeper chair like the other 1 bdrnms that sleep 5

I'm sooooo overwhelmed by all the possibilities that 2013 brings!!!!

Our dates will be 4/20/13-4/28/13

Our deluxe choice will be: AKL CL only if we get 40% discount.

Our moderate choice will be: POR RGR's

Our value choice will be: AOA LM room this is depending on how much airfare will cost, and whether DFIL will go or not...he's still on the fence...

Ah....knew there had to be a catch. Oh well, looking like May will be at POR and will be hoping for FD or RD then. Although still toying with the idea of AP's in Sept, I am waiting to see what the AP discount is for the fall of this year.

I have a headache! But who am I kidding, this is what I love doing!!

The list is taking shape nicely. I know we are still missing a few of our regulars, but I am sure we will hear from them shortly! I thought I would just post 2012 for now and start taking notes on 2013. Maybe begin posting that in a few months when a lot of the summer/fall trips are over. Thoughts?!

Dani, that is such good news that your sweet Lily is cleared to go to WDW! Sorry Danimal is sick , hopefully it is just a 24 hour thing and you can get back to some serious WDW planning!

SJS, I am with you, I thought it was Bangor Maine!

Chimo2U and Jennyjinx, as a GFaholic , I can explain the GF upcoming pool construction. There are 2 pools at the GF, the Courtyard pool (the larger pool surrounding the buildings) and the Beach pool (on the Poly side of the Main building with the slide). The Beach pool has had walls up around it since early Spring, however it has always remained open. The rumor is they are building a kids water play area nearby (to be shared by the GF and the DVC at the GF), thus the walls. The Courtyard pool is closing August 22nd (or 24th, both dates have been put out there) to make it a zero entry pool. The Beach pool will still be opened, crowded most likely but open, so I think it is very unlikely a lot of people will go over to the Polynesian to swim.

JC: Our tentative 2013 dates are:

May 11 - 19 (hoping to catch first weekend of SWW May 17 - 19)
Dec 8 - 12 Disney Dream and WDW Dec 12 - 15 (post cruise)

The more I run numbers this morning, the more it looks like POR is our only option. If we want these 2 trips to take place, we have to be cheapsters! But I will still have lots to chat about!

Thanks for the info about the pool, we tend to use the quiet pool a lot when we are there too so no worries.

Jen...I've never used David's point rental deal, but lots of people say it's awesome. We will probably give it a try for our long 2014 trip with my parents. It's time we give the villas a shot.


Sheila...thanks for info on Jambo. I knew there were villas there, but didn't realize the size...guess that scratches out my family of 5.

Here's a recent pic from the GF renovations. We got this while on our trip at AKL. I coudn't believe it!!! Should be wonderful, though, when all is said and done. You can see a little of the pool over to the right of the picture.

My trip will be January 6th-10th 2013! And wow. I was looking at prices for other Value resorts and ASMo is $66 cheaper than LM! When my mom gets home from work, I will have to discuss this with her. It shouldn't be a big deal since $100/night isn't that bad, but she is paying for it so I want her to be happy with what she is paying for. Could this be the start of a change already? 2013 packages are just now ready to be booked and I am already on the verge of changing.

I'll also need to decide on whether I want to do the DDP or the QSDP. I may just skip the TS meal all together and just make an ADR for BoG.

Bree is perfectly perfect. Still waiting on lab results.....HRH has scored 2 grade levels above at her ChildStudy Team re-eval. All is good in da 'hood...LOVE the lawyer comment BTW

We are home with good news! Lily has been cleared for Disney. We were given the option of going back before or after our trip and I chose to go before so that I can go on vacation with a clear mind and not stress about it while we are away.

The other victim was actually my DS 6 and he was fine. Not a mark on him. Hard head! I realize now that I said it weird. I think I may have said other kid? I don't even remember. I was just freaking out about DS 9 and wasn't in my right mind. Anyway, all is well with him.

Jenny, it was just before his what island is this status. It's ok now though, I think it's the quiet pool closing, not the main one... Maybe it won't be too bad!

What is sad is the beach pool has all the walls up, so they were using the Courtyard pool as the main pool It's a pain to go to Poly to swim though..hope the GF peeps stay put for ya!

Ugh Danimal is sick now. He's throwing up and can't keep anything down. This better not be like it was 3 months ago. I really can't take any time off from work. I was out that week when he was sick. I was out last week when Lily was sick. If I take off anymore I'll be in big trouble.

I hope it's short lived.... his hospitalization was horrible!!

After I mistakenly bought into the Akershus rumor about Rapunzel and swapped out our Le Cellier lunch reservation for Akershsus, I have been telling DH not to worry, next trip we will do lunch there. Now I see a thread that Le Cellier is going to be 2 credits at LUNCH starting in Jan 2013. I hope this one is not true either....yikes!

Oh, and nothing to do with Disney...

My dog looks like a just-put-a-hoof-in-the-electric-socket winter sheep. Hair flying out everywhere. I went outside to brush her yesterday -- for 45 minutes. There were dog hair tumbleweeds all over the yard. It's a shame I can't spin yarn, there was enough hair when I was done to have successfully knitted a new dog afterward.

My dog looks like a just-put-a-hoof-in-the-electric-socket winter sheep. Hair flying out everywhere. I went outside to brush her yesterday -- for 45 minutes. There were dog hair tumbleweeds all over the yard. It's a shame I can't spin yarn, there was enough hair when I was done to have successfully knitted a new dog afterward.

AW...what kind of dog? Any pics??
