Until recently I hadn't realized just how many As-Seen-on-TV thingies I have bought through the years. Someone should keep me away from the infomercials!
OneTouch Can Opener - You press the button on top and it "walks" its way around the can opening the lid. It opens the can on the side of the lid instead of the top so no sharp edges. LOVE this thing! It was a gift from my mother and I can't ever see myself going to a different can opener. We have to use a manual can opener in my house since my husband is left handed and can't seem to figure out an electric can opener so this is a God send!
Dryer Balls - Meh. I used these for about a year and, quite honestly, didn't notice any faster dry times. I did, however, notice that they would snag on lace and sweaters and pull.
Furniture Slides - I actually bought these before I saw them advertised on TV. They work. Go buy some now.
Hercules Hooks - You use these instead of nails or screws for hanging things. I was skeptical, but have to say that I now use them instead of nails or screws for everything since they work just as well and leave a much smaller hole. Love 'em. I even have heavy paintings hanging from them with no issues.
Snuggie - Yeah. I have one. Wanna make something of it? 'Cause I can. You know, now that my arms aren't trapped in a blanket. Truthfully, I love my Snuggie.
Ped Egg - I tried it and I guess it works, but it would just take way too much time and effort to fix my feet. I'd rather just go get a pedicure. They give me wine.
Now...someone go buy a GyroBowl and tell me if they really work at keeping your chocolate pudding in the bowl while running across a field of daisies.
They really are comfortable.
I wear mine more like sweat pants, around the
house and maybe for quick errands, they're a little
loose on me. I did wear them to a night tiem outside concert
recelntly. SIL's fit her more snug and she wears them
like jeans. Her exact words when she got them was
"These Pajama Jeans ROCK"
I took FOREVER to get them though.
That cat scratcher thing mentioned by the OP... yea, not too good. She scratched on it a couple times, she mostly just liked to pull off the toy part and wrestle with that. She has completely lost interest now.
The pet claw file (that runs on batteries)... yea good luck getting near my cat with that.
Space Bags... OK at best
Bottle topper things for cans... works fine, I just do not seem to use them like I thought I would.
I was considering getting one of those EmeryCat scratchers, but I probably should learn my lesson from wasting $20 on that battery operated PediPaws thing...can we say EPIC FAIL? Honestly, I don't even know how I ever could have thought my cat (or ANY cat) would tolerate that thing! It's been sitting in the drawer untouched for about 4 years.
Vidalia Onion Chopper!!! Ii cannot stress it enough. I use this thing ALL the time!!
PedEgg I get fairly regular pedicures but the PedEgg is great for in between.
Bottle toppers for cans. I love being able to "close" my can
Worst:
Pedi Paws. My cat HATED it!!
Dryer Balls. I couldn't tell any difference in anything at all.
Yoshi Blade.....it cuts but not as well as my ragular knives
The sanding pads that sand the hair off your legs. I like the results but they take sooooo long to use. I'd rather just shave and that's saying a lot because I hate shaving!
didn't order online, got it at cvs after seeing infomercial. don't remember what it's called but it's for drains. there are two in a package. one for sinks and one for shower/bathtub. haven't used the shower/bathtub one yet but the sink one rocks. it's a plastic piece covered w.velcro on one end and a flexable tube on other end. man, that thing picks up the hair in the drain like no ones business.
I've only ever ordered one thing from an infomercial--Nads, that hair removal goo back in the 90's? It was supposed to be so natural you could eat it...I ended up tasting it more than I used it to remove hair. Hey, I was in college--a "starving student!"
Love, love, love my Magic Bullet. I've had it for a few years, and have totally gotten my money's worth out of it.
I've been eyeing the Ninja lately - does anybody have any experience with it?
The worst? I don't remember what it was called, but it was a gadget that was supposed to help you make an onion into a Blooming Onion (like at The Outback) - didn't work at all .
