We are in the process of planning our family's 2nd WDW vacation. Last May we went for the first time and had a WONDERFUL trip! We were on the Deluxe Dining Plan and enjoyed it very much. For our upcoming trip, we will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan once again. Here is what we are planning as of right now:

Day 1 -
Lunch = 50s Prime Time
Dinner = Flying Fish

Day 2 -
Breakfast = Crystal Palace
Lunch = The Wave
Dinner = Tony's Town Square

Day 3 -
Breakfast = Tusker House
Lunch = Yak & Yeti
Dinner = Narcoossee's

Day 4 -
Lunch = Le Cellier
Dinner = Ohana

Day 5 -
Breakfast = Chef Mickey's (ADR made for 8:05am)
Dinner = California Grill

Day 6 -
Lunch = Liberty Tree Tavern
Dinner = Artist Point

Day 7 -
Lunch = Mama Melrose
Dinner = Kona

(We have eaten at California Grill, Narcoossee's, Kona, Le Cellier, 50s, and Yak & Yeti before, but everything else would be new for us.)

You've made some great choices!! These really stood out to me:

We absolutely loved dinner at Ohana. I can't wait to go there again. Be sure to try everything that they bring you. The dessert is sensational!! :cloud9:

I also was pleasantly surprised with Tony's. I thought it was very good and the atmosphere was really cool.

Enjoy!

Those all sound great. The only flaw (imo) is on days 2 and 3 you have table service restaurants for every meal. That is a lot of time spent dining. If it were me, I think I would do CS for one of those each day. Have fun!

Alan, they look great to me. We've done several of them and loved them. We are trying Artist Point (if not Jiko) in September. I'm sorry that I've not been able to keep up on your pre-trip report (after we got back from our trip in September I had a lot of banking, legal issues, to deal with from my dad's passing right before our trip). Where have you decided to stay? Are you going back to CSR? I can't wait to see the new rooms.

We tried to get an ADR for Ohana on our last trip but could not. We did have breakfast at Ohana and had a blast! Ohana, Le Cellier, and Cali Grill will be the first ressies I make....hopefully!

Me and my 12-yr-old son are going to Tony's together as sort of a "guys night out." We did this on our last trip, and it is still one of his most memorable experiences. He said that it is our tradition to do this from now on! The girls did CRT last year...and this year they plan to go to the GF tea.

That is a lot of food for one day. If we stay with this plan, the breakfast would be early (around 8ish), the lunch around 2pm, and dinner around 8pm, in order to spread them apart more. Hey, making these decisions is half the fun, right?

Hi Kathy! I am so sorry about your Dad. I know you've had a tough year and we'll keep you in our prayers.

We decided to stay at the Pop Century this year. I wanted to go back to CSR, but the kids really wanted to try the Pop. Also, by staying there, we get to stay for 7 nights instead of 6 and STILL save a little money. I would love to go back to CSR, especially with the new rooms and the queen beds.

I am currently planning ADRs for our trip the first week of June and yes it is fun but it is also a little nervewracking...trying to balance all the fun places you want to share with your family for meals while also trying not to overplan and leave room for flexibility because you just don't know what everyone's mood and energy level is going to be on any given day. :crazy2:
