my DH orders Netflix with the DVD for the Wii.

We've done nothing but watch streamed in movies for the past two days! :rotfl:

I love watching netflix on my wii!

I have over 300 in my queue.

What are you guys finding to watch? I got Netflix for this reason about 2 months ago. I find their "watch it now" movies very limited. I can scroll through and find very little to watch. I get bored and would love new movies without having to wait to return one and get one back. That way I can only see 1 or 2 a week. I don't want to go for the more expensive 2 DVD's at a time.

We watch a lot of different tv series instantly. There are some that I never thought I would like or had never heard of before and being able to watch them instantly made me much more likely to watch them than had I had to wait for the DVD.

Go to the website and update your queue there. There is much, much more available than what shows up on your television.

yep, you need to update thru the computer. I was baffled when I first got my streaming disc, there just wasn't much on it. now I am completely in love with it! we do watch movies, but often pick up tv shows we never watched while they were on. watched all of Weeds, we started friday night lights but I can't get into it, and are thinking about starting pillars of the earth tonight.

love the kids programming that are at my fingertips now.

if it weren't for sports (dh will NOT budge because of this), I would give up my cable in a heartbeat and just stream/get my discs from netflix.

they don't have a lot of newer movies available for streaming (the starz instant play is nice, though), so we have those out on dvd. but honestly we have had the same 3 out for over a month now and just can't make the time commitment for a movie. funny to say that, considering I was just so hooked on weeds that I would sit and watch 4 in a row if given a chance! lol. not sure what the difference is there. ;)

I wish netflix would create a "Streaming only" plan. I don't really want the one dvd at a time that I pay for. I just want to stream the movies to my television.

I have heard that is in the works. I would do that although I do find the turn around time pretty fast with the movies in the mail.

The instant streaming ones are not new movies but I have found "newer" movies in the Starz category. I have also had good luck with rating movies and getting more suggestions.

We have had Netflix for a month and I LOVE it.

We had Netflix about a year ago, before the streaming capabilities. We canceled when we found that Redbox was easier for us, and cheaper.

We decided to sign up again, for the streaming, because we have the very lowest tier of the Dish Network, and do not get a lot of the TV programming that is available on DVD now. We figured if we were going to spend another $9 a month, better to do it this way and get the newer movies too.

Actually I never installed the disc. I only watch on the computer, but I just didn't find enough to put in my queue to bother with making it work on my TV. Must be missing the good stuff, although I scroll through often when I'm bored and still add only one or two movies. Maybe one day I will find enough stuff to watch I will spend the time to move the player to my room and install it to watch at night. For now, with the bare selection, too much trouble. I was hoping someone had good suggestions to get my list going.

Do you go to the "sortable list" option under the "list all" tab? There are thousands of movies and tv shows to pick from.

what kind of movies/shows do you like?

So many entertaining choices! I watch movies here and there but the TV series get me hooked. My kids loved watching the MacGyver series. I did all The Office, Desperate Housewives and the CSI seasons on-line. Also Bones and Dead like me (quirky), Lie to Me and the Tudors.

Friday Night Lights is probably going to be the next series I go through.

I usually watch on my Computer but we have a Wii, is it easy to watch with the Wii? what is involved? I tried to watch through the X-Box but the quality was so outrageously poor that I abandoned the whole idea and never tried again.

My husband just order the disc for doing it through the Wii yesterday, but we need to buy a wireless router. Does anyone have any recommendations? How is Nexflix through the Wii?

Netflix for the Wii is the bane of my free time. Seriously. I go home for my lunch hour, which means I have about 40 minutes once I get home. Sometimes I don't even EAT anything because I instantly start streaming something through the Wii! :rotfl:

TV Series are the best for it. I've watched Buffy from Season 1. Party Down was streaming for awhile (taken down, now). Re-watching a ton of stuff I've already seen, and am loving the British comedies The IT Crowd and Chef!.

I'm addicted, pure and simple.

How hard is it to set up Netflix w/ the Wii? I've been wanting to do it for awhile, but don't know what all is involved.

IIRC with mine, I just put the disc in the Wii and it gave me a special code. While the Wii was running, I went to Netflix.com on the computer, logged in, and entered the code. That was it. :thumbsup2

my DS20 got this for his wii and i use it on my laptop. i love it.
I watch scifi, comedy and tv series. I usually do streaming when i do laundry or use it as a reward for unplesant tasks. :thumbsup2
