As I sit here looking at my

My kids are only 6 & 3 but I was a crying mess last night watching them pal around, dancing...being kids. It seems already that they are growing up so fast and I just am so worried about the time flying by and never having these moments again.

My "little boy" will be 18 in January.

What do you mean 18! Wasn't he just a little thing back when I was lurking in 2000? boy they sure do grow up fast.

My only will be 18 in February. He plans to go to college locally which I have mixed feelings about. It's good for the budget and I admit that I will like having him around but I realize that it's probably better for him if he went away. He likes a local college a lot though.

Sigh... I was just thinking about the first time I took him to daycare and I was a mess after I left. That seems like a hundred years ago and at the same time just yesterday.

DS is coming up on 21 here in a few weeks. He might be 6'4" and think he is all grown up but he will always be my baby

I feel for all of you with older kids. Mine are 5 and 7 (will be 8 soon) - when the birthdays roll around it makes me sad! It was true what the little old ladies told me when they were babies - they DO grow too fast. I try and cherish every moment but the day to day craziness of life sometimes gets in the way, then before you know it, another birthday rolls around. I already get teary eyes when I think of them growing up and leaving. I hope they won't go too far when they do!
