You can get a cash discount, of 25% on DVC resort rooms if available.

No discount on nonDVC resorts.

Now if you have an annual pass you can sometimes get a discount with it.

Yes, we were able to get a studio at the boardwalk for the days we are going to be at WDW for New Years. We got the discount. It's interesting bc the studio had shown as unavailable on the WDW site but was available through the DVC member site.

Yes, the reservation must be through MS. Rooms are not always available.

BTW, sometimes it is cheaper to go through OCR if special offers are being made--30% off is better than 25% off.

I believe Denise meant to put CRO (Central Reservations Office). You may also see DRC used for them also.
