Hey,
My family are Castaway members due to going on Wonder last May and since we are going this May,- What will happened that is different now being a Castaway member?
Thanks :sunny: :flower: :sunny:

When u arrive in your stateroom, their will be 1 towel, and a couple of pins. U will also be invited to a cocktail party on castaway cay day. Check your towel b4 u disembark, because mine was dirty.

Just wanted to add that there are special Castaway Club check in lines also.

Take a good look-see, because there are so many repeat guests, that sometimes it is not worth it... :goodvibes

There is also a special Castaway Club reception with drinks towards the end of your cruise...

We sailed in Sept on the Wonder so I guess that makes us members of the club, but do you get something in the mail? Do we just get in the line for club members? Haven't heard from Disney on the membership. Any advice?

Just so you dont think they forgot if its not there...but when we cruised they didn't put the towels etc in the staterooms until the 3rd night on board. They said there were so many return cruisers that it akes a while for them all to get their things.

Thanks for telling whats going to happen.

To answer tink11 -We heard about the Castaway Club from talk around the ship (and I think its now also on the DCL web site). I called DCL when we got back home and they and give us each a Castaway number.

We got 2 Castaway Club pins, the really nice towel (we now have 2), and an invite to the party with free drinks and a little buffet.

If you are a CC member but don't have a card or number, can you still check in at the CC check-in?

How do you become a CC member? Do you first have to GO on a cruise to become one? Can you sign up before your cruise or have to wait until you're on the ship? Just curious.

Thanks.

You have to go on a cruise first. There's no paperwork or anything, but once you've cruised you're automatically a member. The reception with the captain is kinda neat, because it's probably the fewest people he meets at a time on the ship.

We saw a huge difference in the amount of people at the CC member party between the Magic and Wonder.

The Magic usually has hundreds of return cruisers each sailing, where our recent Wonder cruise had under 100.

It is a nice reception and they pass around free drinks..

Wow, sounds like alot of people can show up for the castaway party. If there are up to 100+ people that come, how would they even know whos castaways and whos not? And are the kids welcome to come with us to the party? :cool1:

You get an invite to bring so they let you in. Kids are welcome. I bourght the person I was traveling with and her daughter. There were so many return cruiserslast time I sailedthat they had to use 2 clubs to fit them all in! Get there early if you want a seat!

Does anyone know when the CC party is on the 4 day Wonder - we'll be there next week & I was just curious?

We are going with family but we are return cruisers with our info already (got our cards) will our family be able to accomapny us as our guests to the party?

3Disney Nuts, your family can accompany u. When I was there on the Jan 16 Cruise, they didn't even ask 2 see the invitation. I believe it was held on the sea day during the evening.

I was just thinking today.-
Are the towels and pins that we get as gifts different then those you can buy on the ship?
:rotfl: :Pinkbounc

Yes, they are different. The towel says Castaway Club and so do the pins. You can only get them from having sailed before (or ebay LOL)

I think it must depend on the cruise. There have been times when they asked for our invitation and time when they don't. I guess it depends on who's manning the door!
