Artists Point - Staying At WL - Do We Need Reservations?

Leaving in 30 days, I read on some threads that many restaurants are fully booked, should I be concerned? Whenever I've stayed before at Deluxe resorts I never had a problem getting a table same day (except at Poly).

For Artist Point, I would say definitely. It's fairly popular among those looking for a more special dinner in the World.

And in 30 days - will that be free dining? Double definitely.

Definitely, you will need ressie even if you are staying at WL.

Free dining is a promotional period that allowed people to get the dining plan for free if they paid rack rate.

Most restaurants are usually fully booked even outside of "free dining" weeks.

If there is a special meal I want, I always do the ADR.

Not to say you couldn't take a chance stopping by the podium when they open to see if you can get a seating.

You will probably need an ADR, better to be safe then sorry. I think you will be there at the begining of free dining, making ADRs even more critical.

Free dining is a special promo that disney offers once a year.It is the basic dining plan free, when you book a full,regular priced MYW disney resort pkg.( no other discounts can be applied)It is announced in early April for booking with travel dates between Mid August to Mid Sept(Hurricaine and low season), and it had to be booked by June 22.So the restaurants are booked to the max.because everyone is trying to get the full use of their dining credits.
