we want to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary at a good restraurant with nice atmosphere..but we have to bring our 2 little ones with us so it has to a kid friendly place as well. any info on Artist pointe would be great !:)

Dh and I ate there last August and really enjoyed it. The food was terrific. There were plenty of kids there too. They have the usual kid's offerings. I think it's a great compromise place to eat....good food for adults and the kid's will like it too.

Artist Point is WoNDERFUl!! My dh and I have been twice now...but we've gone alone. I have seen children there though, but don't know what the menu is like for them. I'm sure you could find it on allears.

Are your children old enough to go into the Cub's Den? They need to be 4 and must be potty trained. The staff was very nice, and they have all kinds of activities and toys for the kids to play with. They serve dinner from 7-8 which is included in the cost. It is $10 per hour per child.

We went to AP three weeks ago and put our kids (boys 5 & 9) in the CD while we ate. They were there for 2 hours which was plenty of time for us to eat and enjoy our dinner quietly! The boys loved it and had a great time...didn't want to leave! The room itself is a close walk from the restaurant and they will come get you if they need you.

We went on our 4th day in Disney, and by that point my dh and I were needing a break from the kids...(and they were needing a break from us, too!):p

Whatever you decide, be sure to try the Smoked Portabello Mushroom soup...it is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Artist Point is great for any dinner. Your children would be fine there, also. My DW and I had dinner there a few weeks ago and saw a number of families with small children. The restaurant has a kids menu and items for the kids to color. And the Cub's Den is also a good choice if you want some special alone meal time.

I highly recommend the cedar plank salmon for the entree. The salmon is done medium right on a cedar plank and brought to your table. The smell is awesome and the taste is out of this world! Roast ed outside, flaky and tender inside ... wowzers!

I ordered the berry cobbler for the 1st time on this trip -- I was not prepared for the size of it! Needless to say, I just "rolled" back to our room (fortunately, we were staying at WL). :o

Artist Pt is an excellent choice. It is kid friendly but much quieter than many of the other restaurants. I also agree that the plank salmon is wonderful and the berry cobbler is the best dessert in the "world".
