We are having dinner at AP our first night 07/04. Do you think there would be interesting choices for (2) 15 year old boys? Also,
would our 2 year old be out of place? Thanks ahead of time for anyone with any experience. Today is the first day I've posted, but have been reading for quite a while.

Can't wait!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi NCBUZZ,

We took our two boys to Artist Point when they were 13 and 11 and they both enjoyed their meal. Both boys have always been good eaters and were willing to try new things. My 11 year old had the Cedar planked salmon and really liked it. They also have a Kid's menu with the usual burgers, hot dogs, pasta, chicken, etc. I think it really depends on what kid of eaters they are that will determine whether or not they enjoy it.
If you are staying at WL you have picked IMHO the best resort on the property! We are going in Sept. and are staying in DD due to the deal at Courtyard by Marriot for 20.03 a night but plan on eating at Artist Point the first night we are there.
Also, you can check the menu on these boards to give you kids an idea of the choices.
Hope this helps ºoº

Thanks Mouselvr. I'm sure we'll have a great time. We're staying at YC Concierge, but were torn between there and WL, so we decided to go over and have dinner and check out WL.(maybe for next time). Thanks for the help.

Your children will not feel out of place at AP. They offer childrens meals for the youngest. For dessert, they have a white chocolate puzzle for the kids to put together complete with edible paints!
Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy AP at all. I will try almost anything and opted for the buffalo steak. It was aweful!. The whole steak was nothing but fat! I do hear the salmon is very good though. The portobello mushroom soup was very good too!

AspiringCindy,
Sorry you were disappointed in your meal. Thanks for making me feel more at ease about the kids. The puzzle sounds like a lot of fun. My DH loves anything with portobello mushrooms, so the soup sounds like a winner. I've read so many reviews that go both ways. I guess it just depends on what you order and your personal tastes. I could see the 2 15 year olds getting a kick out of ordering buffalo though. Thanks!!:p

Hey, NCBuzz!

We (DH, DM & I) have PS ressies for AP on 7/4! Perhaps we'll see you there. I'm going to try to remember to wear a lime green ribbon, but if not, we are in our 40s, my mom is in her 70's and DH has long hair he wears in a braid. If you see us, feel free to say hi!

We have only ever had dessert there, so we are really looking forward to this meal.

Hope you enjoy your trip!

Mrs. Snowgod,
Ous PS is early. 5:45 because of the 2 year old. We're in our
40's also. With 2 15 year old boys and the 2 year old. I know we'll all enjoy it. I'm starting to get excited with anticipation. I hope to see you there!!:bounce:

Ours is a bit later, but not too much - I think in the 6:30 to 7:00 range. We are looking forward to going to PI later that evening for the special fireworks.

We're getting very excited, too.

BTW, here is a link for the menu database. They do have AP listed, so you'll be able to view a sample menu.

I'll keep an eye out for you. Enjoy!!!
