I realize that they are two different types of restaurants, however I just wanted to get some feedback on which one you enjoyed more??? I only have one more dinner left and not sure yet where to go. Thanks for you opinions!!!

Welll......

I had disappointing experiences at both. At AP the service was iffy at best (we had Chatty Cathy, she wouldn't shut up and leave us alone!) and my steak ordered MR was served BURNED to a crisp the first time and MW the second--I should have refused it and gotten fast food, it would have been better.

At Boma they had a difficult time accomodating my food allergies (no I hadn't called in a advance, it was a last minute decision to dine there.) They waited until over half way through the meal when I had already filled up on the three buffet items that I could eat (which I didn't really care for) before offering to make me something special. I feel that they should have offered that from the start. I'm easy a chicken breast and steamed veggies make me happy!

Frankly I *might* go back to Boma, only if I could call in advance to have them deal with the allergies, and I *might* go back to AP if someone else was paying and I got the name of a good server. Otherwise, I'd skip both.

I think it's safe to say that what you just read is a minority opinion. Both restaurants get great reviews from most people.

I can't speak to Boma, because I haven't eaten there yet. I did walk through it after Jiko's one night, and can't wait to try it on Friday. The food looked great. I have eaten at AP and enjoyed it extremely. I had a filet with crab meat, and it was delicious. One of the best steaks I've ever had.

What you want to do is decide which atmosphere you want, because they are very different places. It's awfully hard to say you'll enjoy one more than the other, because it depends on what you want. Jiko is a much closer comparison to AP than Boma is.

If you want to sit at your table and have very good service, you pick AP. If you want to get up, try a lot of different things and experiment, try Boma. (You'll save money by going to Boma, too, I think.)

I think thats why we are leaning a more towards Boma's. I have read ALOT of reveiws about it and most of them are good. I have good reviews of AP too!! Make sure you post a report on Boma's for me Syn. I will be waiting to hear. Have a Great time

Thanks, Tracy. I will do that. If we can fit in AP this trip, we may try to do that, as well.

Why would you not do Jiko's instead of Boma?? Jiko's is a better comparision to AP then Boma.

You are not making this any easier STSAC...LOL!!!

IMHO Jiko is the best restaurant all around on property.

I'd have to agree with stsac129 on this one. Boma isn't in the same class as Artist Point or Jiko for that matter. I've eaten at all three and I'd basically say Jiko was the best, with Artist Point being second and Boma being third. Yes Boma is a buffet, and there are lots of options to try, but it still is a buffet. The quality of food suffers when it's being prepared in mass quaities, and some of the authenticity of the food suffers as well. I liked Boma, but wouldn't rush back there to eat. I would go back to Jiko and Arrist Point though. If you're truly looking for a unique dining experience, go with Jiko, you won't be disappointed.

I will try AP this november, but I have eaten at Boma and Jiko and Jiko was far better! We didn't even have entrees!! We had just checked into AKL and wanted to get a little something before heading to MGM, so we got a few apetizers to split. along with some wine, this was the best meal we've had at WDW!!! Jiko also had good children's choices. I believe our DS had a pizza. He loved it and is VERY picky! I don't remember much about Boma, so I don't think that 's a good thing.
