Article on Universal's Evolution

i read your article.

i started going to universal in 1992.
so many changes in the first five years ........

alfred hitchcock was so universal...

the vhs tapes they used to give out were treasured by my sons.

Definitely. I remember liking it a lot when went in 1991 (I think). I was 15, and there were a lot of cool shows about TV and movies (Murder She Wrote was even fun). I also remember a lot of the attractions (especially Kong and Earthquake) kept breaking down. The Ghostbusters show was also fun too.

I still really like the parks because they're going so high-tech with some of the attractions. It's just so different, though.

Great article! How were you able to get that great pic of the E.T. queue?? My absolute favorite queue in all the parks.

I am curious how far Universal will take their new emphasis on building property-based lands at the Studios vs having the Studio areas represent traditional movie studio set pieces.

Though I guess you could argue Amityville Island had already set a precedence.

Thanks everyone! SoarinSC, I think Universal's going to keep riding their current wave as long as it goes. It will be interesting to see what happens with the rumored Kong arrival over by Jurassic Park. They also may do some upgrades for Jurassic World. It seems like they're going to keep pushing in that direction as long as the people keep coming.

I agree...it's bringing in dollars so why wouldn't they, right? Really excited about Kong and a possible Skull Island area...it'll be interesting to see if they push back the Jurassic Park gate or just incorporate Kong into JP.
