Article on Universal and WWoHP crowd management

Thanks for posting the article. It was very interesting. I had no idea that the park attendance had went down that much.

I think they've been handling crowd control very well. Even the morning of the Grand Opening it wasn't to awfully bad. My group was in the front though so I don't know how the back was handled. There were people continually trying to cut saying they were "taking pictures" but the security guards were on top of that and would politely escort those people back to their spots. All the staff was super swell.

However, the second day I do think it was handled much better (with giving out the tickets). They had told us the line was a 4 hour wait (we were at the beg of Toon land) but we got in an hour later.

I know a lot of people were upset with the way they handled it but I honestly don't see how they could handle it any better.

Thanks for the article. We just got back from a one-night trip to ride FJ. We tried yesterday afternoon and the posted wait was 75 minutes. Unfortunately, the ride broke down and stayed down. We tried again this morning ( I noticed it was 9:00 as we were passing Spiderman) and a 40-minute wait was posted.

I never saw anyone passing out tickets or felt things were out of control. I think they were doing a fine job and FJ was amazing - well worth the wait. They were right on the money about the length of the wait, too.

Btw, the man in front of us was not allowed to ride because of his size. Sad because he seemed to be a big Harry Potter fan.

Yeah...I hope the rumors about the modified seating are true and they will fix the ride to allow more people to enjoy it.

read that this morning, we rode FJ on Wed night, went about 8pm, posted time was 98mins and where adding to it as we wnt to join the queue, only took us about 40mins to be on the ride, maybe a bit less.Queue to get into the wand shop took longer apparently
