There was a cute article about taking pre-schoolers to WDW in the AJC today. I thought some of you would enjoy it. The author is a newbie when it comes to WDW (maybe I should send her the link to these boards), so not much new to learn there. The whole article reminded me of one of the main reasons we bought DVC! Easy access to kitchen facilities for the little snackers, staying on site with easy access back to our villa for lunch/naptime, and knowing that if we do miss a ride we know we'll always have next year. :)

She does make the point of how keeping sleep schedules and using the FASTPASS system can make your vacation with pre-schoolers a lot more MAGICAL with fewer meltdowns. However, lots of comparisons between the family that's pulling their hair out and saying, "I can't take it anymore!" and the family who managed to ride everything on their list because they read the guidebooks (and message boards, no doubt).

I thought this thread was about those rollercoaster meltdowns at BWV pol bar. SURE are magic

pmcpmc - I assume that a rollercoaster meltdown is some kind of yummy drink. I'll have to try those sometime! The kids are begging to pool hop to BWV during our trip, so I'll have an excuse!

I loved the article. I'll have to show it to my DW. She was always upset that people were saving for a "once in a lifetime visit" to WDW and taking kids too young to ever even remember having been there. She was even more upset with me as I took over 20 pictures of kids having tantrums in the "happiest place on Earth" .... so much so, that she erased them from the camera memory. Oh well, we know there's always next year, right?

Thanks for the link Katie. I didn't look at the paper yesterday.
I need to go read it now. I think I've mentioned to you before about my youngest. The ped calls her high-intensity?!? ;)
You should have seen us at the Braves game yesterday.... Oh, my! Needless to say, we left a little early. :p
