Disney Intl. chief leaves to head Herbalife

LOS ANGELES, April 3 (Reuters) - Walt Disney Co.'s (nyse: DIS - news - people) head of international business, Michael Johnson, has resigned to become chief executive of diet and weight-loss product company Herbalife International Inc., the companies said on Thursday.
Johnson focused on brand development and expansion, such as expanding video sales and launching mobile phones services, during his 17 years at Disney.
Other executives were primarily responsible for Disney international theme parks in Paris and Tokyo.
Burbank, California-based Disney has not appointed a replacement, a spokesman said. Herbalife is based in Los Angeles.
