This will be our second time staying at Peacock Suites this May. There will be 3 adults and 2 children (3 and 8). Should we spring for A.R.T.? I think its like $4 each. (We'll be going to the parks 2 days) It looks like about a mile to walk to the entrance. Last trip we drove one day and paid parking.
Anyone made the walk? I hate to deal with moving the car because its all valet parking. I also don't like to wait for a bus that may be too full anyways. But I know how tired we are at the end of the night.
I just don't know...

Drive or use ART don't walk, not with kids your ages. It's too far, even with a stroller. We own with Shell so we stay at the Peacock often, we only walk when it's DBF and I only and then we take a taxi back at night. the valets are awesome!!!!!!! They never care about getting your car, they are very fast and they are very nice. they've even had some great suggestions for places to eat, which results in a nice tip for them when we get back. :) We did use ART one trip and we hated it......it was very very full and just miserable...and NO ONE gets up for kids to sit.

I have used the ART when I stayed at Hojo's and it was wonderful. Also, I wouldn't get up out of my seat for a kid either. The adults should always get priority. I know they are tired, but my feet hurt more.

Goodness, I agree with pixie, do NOT walk, especially with kids that age. I stayed at Clarion last year, which is also a mile from the park, and I ended up cutting my trip almost a full day short because I was hobbling around after trying to walk to the parks for two days in a row. I was in SO MUCH PAIN. I was 25 at the time and in relatively good shape, and there is just no way I will ever subject myself to that again. You think "oh, a mile isn't that much", but it's a mile to the park, a mile back home, and a WHOLE lot of miles around the park, so it definitely adds up, not to mention we took an afternoon break, so that's two more miles round trip! My feet hurt just thinking about it!

Uhhhh NO, you would be incorrect here. IF a child gives you their seat fine, but children and elderly ALWAYS get priorty, as do pg women or families with small children who need to lap sit. And of course handicapped. :) People who can stand should ALWAYS stand.

Sorry,gotta disagree.

:thumbsup2
