ART vs Parking

Hello everyone!

My Disneyland trip is just three days away and I am oh so excited! My question is, would you recommend using the ART or driving and parking? I will be staying at Staybridge Suites, so it is too far to walk. I have not read very good things about ART (it's never on time, it gets overly crowded, etc), so at this point, driving and parking sounds good to me. I will buy a parking voucher online to avoid waiting in that line. My sister-in-law, however, is leaning toward ART. We will have a 4-year-old with us and possibly a stroller. I have never used ART, so any tips you could provide will be seriously considered! Thank you.

I would recommend the ART. The bus drops you off, right at the gates. If you need to go back to the hotel, its easy. Yes, you might wait for the ART, but the convenience is nice. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. It is crowded after the fireworks show, but it is to be expected. Parking in the garage ,you still take a tram to parking structure/Disneyland, and that can have a long line too.

A current thread has tram use as a poor choice when ART and walking are options.
there is a problem with ART around the lunch and shift change hours, so best to research when that happens. I have not lodge that far away from the park so always had the option to walk to RMI

But I just cannot imagine walking to the tram, waiting for the tram, walking to structure to find car, then in the dark try to navigate back to your part of the area. I guess I would rather sit on the concrete bench and listen to Disney music.

And that's not even the worst of it. :sad2: The last time we used the parking garage was on a Sunday during low season. Even arriving early it took almost an hour from the time we pulled into the queue until we got off the tram at the esplanade. Big, big time suck. Go with ART.

My daughter was just in Disneyland last week. Her hotel was close to the Toy Story parking lot, so that is what she used. It was free, and the shuttles came frequently.

It doesn't matter if you already paid for parking. Everyone goes in the same way. I have parking attached to my AP, and we still have to wait for everyone entering ahead of us to pay. Plus, stop at the attendants to get a parking ticket for the day to display in the car.

I've never used ART, but I think I'd rather pay the amount they charge, and build in a little extra time for waiting at the stop, than pay the parking fee and have to add the drive time, the parking time & the travel time on the tram! It's got to be longer.
