Does this restaurant take walk ups? We are thinking of trying it on our short two-night stay after our cruise, and of course there are no ADRs available. I'll keep checking but thought a walk up would be nice.

Yes, just depends on the time of the day (and how busy they are). We walked up in the middle of the day and we're able to sit in about 10-15 minutes.

I walked up close to the opening at lunch and got a seat immediately. Food was really great. I would definitely go back again.

Like previously stated, it all depends on what time and of course, if it is Disney peak season. Lunch always seems to be a better hit with walk-ups compared to dinner. Therefore, if you're doing lunch, I wouldn't worry much. But dinner time can get pretty packed so I recommend reservations. My mother and I did a walk-up once there and waited over an hour to be seated for dinner.

Agree with the others about trying lunch ( or maybe an early dinner ). DS is usually not super crowded at lunch time. We have also noted a difference at 5ish compared to 7:00pm.

I'll just mention that WDW restaurants don't hold any tables for walk-ups, and the lack of available ADRs may be an indication of how busy they will be. OTOH, reservations are cancelled all the time, especially the 24 hours prior to the day you wish to dine. Not saying don't attempt walk-up, but keep trying for an ADR and have a Plan B.:)

Homecomin' DOES have a patio that is first-come/first serve.

We walked up on a Saturday night in May, around 8-8:30pm. It was a 30min. wait for the restaurant but the gal at the check-in desk said we could look/wait for a seat on the patio. We found a lovely casual table in the corner with two big comfy chairs. We ordered drinks, fried green tomatoes, the chicken thigh biscuit sandwiches and Mac n cheese. It was a beautiful evening, quiet and the food was outstanding.

Give it a try!

OP here. Thank you for all the responses. It sounds like lunch is our best bet for a walk up. I think our plan right now is try for a walk up at lunch but I'm going to continue to look for an ADR for dinner.
