Art-related positions?

I'm about to start my sophomore year of college, and I'm thinking about the College Program. I've worked for the last few years as an airbrush artist at an amusement park near my house, and although I know there isn't an airbrush stand anywhere in Disney, my company also runs (and I'm trained in!) airbrush and henna tattoos, facepaint and hairwrap, and photo operations. Is it possible to get a job in an art-related position as a college program member? If not I guess I'll try to do Photopass, but I'd prefer to use the other skills I've spent several summers refining.

A lot of people do not realize that the hair wraps, tatoos, and face painting are not Disney CMs, they are third party (operating participants) that are employed by a different company but work on Disney property. Therefore, the Disney College Program does not have roles for this type of work.

Disney does offer face painting through The Pirates League, which does have a small number of CPs. It is not a role you can check, because there are so few of them, but you can tell them you're interested during your interview. They are looking for people with a strong theatrical background, face painting experience is a plus.

Good luck!

I thought it might be something like that. I'm employed by a third-party company in my home park, as well. I wonder who runs that at Disney?

Thanks for the info on the Pirate's League. My only theater experience was in high school, but maybe I stand a chance!
