Hi,
Coming from Australia to USA we'd love to have a look at some of the shops nearby Disneyland. I know we can get to Target via the ART system. I was wondering if there are any other good shops that we can also use the ART to get to such as Walmart etc. Also, I know this might sound awful but I am a bit nervous about venturing out of Disneyland to go to Target etc....is it fairly safe? Last question, I am a theatre nurse and am looking to purchase scrubs while in the USA (we can't get much over here) I think there is a scrub/medical store in Eucilid (not sure if thats correct spelling!!) How far it that from Target? would love it if anyone has any info to help me. Thanks so much.:goodvibes

1151 N. Euclid St. Unit J Anaheim, CA 92801 - 1-877-SCRUB-4-U
You can take the 5 freeway north to Euclid then turn right and head north
Or
Take Ball or Katella west to Euclid then turn right.
It is the first big street going north after Walnut, not that far.

We were at Disneyland in January and used the OCTA bus to get to the Walmart at Anaheim Plaza. It was about $4 per person for an all day ticket. we walked to the bus stop at corner of Katella and Harbour and got the number 50 bus then we got off at Euclid st and caught the number 37 bus to the shopping centre. there is also another target near Anaheim Plaza which we walked to.

i thought that going to the target was safe we walked there one day (but had to catch the bus home as we had too many bags to carry home!!) and we caught buses to Anaheim Plaza as well as the character warehouse. the only time i was worried about safety while in America was when we caught the bus to LA to see Ellen and we were waiting for a bus near the metro train station and there was like noone around, it was 9pm at night and we werent sure if the bus had been yet!!! but even then it wasnt so much worried about safety as much as just wanting to get on the bus to get home!!

we always found there were heaps of ppl on the buses and i downloaded the maps and timetables before i left and took them with me so i could plan my day the night before and knew exactly where i was going.

btw we loved looking at the targets and Walmart - so much bigger (and cheaper) then the ones hear. i stocked up on makeup!! (the makeup i normally buy in aus is around $20 and i got it for $5 in target) and they have heaps of 99c travel size items which was handy

oh and looking at google earth that scrub shop that laurie suggested is not too far away from Anaheim Plaza shopping centre, just a bit further up on the bus.

We rode the OCTA buses alot, never felt unsafe although we saw quite a few homeless persons and some nut jobs, but you see them around the place even if you are not riding the bus.

I would have no hesitation riding them during the day and we took the bus to various shopping malls as well as to Target etc. You can buy an all day pass for a little over the cost of two rides.
