anyone done it? Interesting? Worth my time? Sailing on the Fantasy...

I didn't like it myself. I expected more from it. It didn't tell me anything I didn't know already.

We started in Palo they told us about that, any server there can tell you the same. IE Palo has a private room here it is, it serves brunch and dinner.

Then we toured the ship looking at paintings and carpet, and the design on the carpet and what inspires it. It wasn't good.

We have had a Walt Disney theatre tour , which was fantastic, the galley tour was great. Loved them.

Yes, we've done it several times. On all the ships. I found it worthwhile when I was new. Now I just like hearing what the CMs have to say and walking around the ship. It's generally less busy if you do it later in the cruise.

I enjoyed it my one time on the Wonder. The tour went around the ship (public areas only) talking about the decor and why things were done a certain way.

I've done it on the Wonder and enjoyed it. While I knew a lot of the info, I did learn a few tidbits. I would do it again but on another ship if the timing worked out.

I do believe your enjoyment might be related to the particular CM doing the tour
I enjoyed this tour very much. The CM who gave us our tour suggested taking it more than once. She said every CM has their favourite parts of the ship and their favourite facts to share. She said that as every CM is different each time you take the tour it will be different.

Yes, they are given many pages of facts and are to pick the ones they like the best. I have done this on the Wonder and enjoyed it very much. I wish I would have taken the tour on the Fantasy, but I didn't really know what it was at the time. Third (cruise) times a charm!

I also enjoyed hearing the story of how our tour guide ended up working on the ship. I don't know if they all do that but her story was interesting.

We've done it the first time we were on the ships and had fun. Its very helpful if you are a new cruiser! If you have been on them a lot, you may already know most of the tidbits though.

I always thought it was worth the time. usually about an hr to hr and a half. and there's times you have down time.

Is this something that you book once onboard (like Mixology) and if so is it at guest relations?

You don't book it. You just show up a the time/location indicated in the Navigator. Typically the start point is at Palo.

We went on it on the Magic and I thought it was great! Not only did we learn a lot of interesting facts about the ship but we learned future plans that would be happening on the ship that no one else knew about.
