Art of Animation Suites

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere but I can not find the answer anywhere. There are rooms listed at art of animation as "family suites" separate from the themed family suites, and cheaper. Are these unthemed suites or do you just get randomly placed into one of the themed sections? The description makes it seems like the second option, but I just wanted to make sure. Also if you choose that can you still do a room request and possibly get into section you want or no?
