We have a Lion King Suite booked but am starting to wonder if we will be comfortable enough in it. We chose AoA mostly for the kids for the movie theme and the kitchenette area will be a plus for us to give the kids breakfast in the morning before we head out. We are a family of 6. Kids are 3 girls ages 14,13, and 10 and a 6 year old boy. Is this space big enough for us? Another person on the boards suggested that the kids may not be comfortable on the pull out beds. Has anyone else stayed here with this party size? I would like any opinions I can get. Some answers maybe affected my the "size" of my kids since I do not know if the beds are "regular" length or shortened for kids. Our 14 yo is tall and thin. 13 yo is small, same height and weight as 10 year old (about 5ft and 80 pounds). normal height and weight 6 year old. Thank you in advance for your opinions.

I'm wondering the same thing we are scheduled for AOA Lion king and debating on switching to a deluxe location just for the extra room. Not sure if the extra money is truly worth the extra space? First time going.

My mother in law slept comfortably on the Murphy bed and on the pull out. She is 5'6". We have 3 kids and we had my mom in law that trip. I was very glad for all that space. We did not eat in the room but used the kitchenette to keep all the breakfast and snacky things. We actually brought our breakfast to the food court so that we could augment the cereal we brought with pastries et al. In order to eat in the room you would have to put the Murphy be away - we thought it was easier to just take our food to the food court and then head to the bus.

The extra bathroom is well worth it. I loved having 2 bathrooms for getting ready and out the door for rope drop in the morning. If your girls are anything like mine you'll be happy for the extra bath!

My husband loved having a door to shut so that he could watch tv after the kids went to bed.

We stayed last May for 7 nights.. DH, me, DD24, DD21, DD13, DDfriend12... so basically 4 adults 2 young teens.. No bed issues which really shocked me because I felt like the murphy bed and sleeper couch would probably be rough but none of them complained! SHOCKING because they were all fairly high maintenance girls!!! :) Both mattress were really nice ones, NOT thin cheap springing types I was scared of! We really debated on staying there again this May but felt like we wanted to try another resort or probably would have. Especially the older girls wanted too try POR!
PS the bedroom is so nice.. plenty room with nice size bathroom! you will love it!

We stayed with 4 adults and 2 kids. Our kids were smaller, one was 2 and the other was 4. We slept in the bedroom, the other 2 adults slept on the pull out couch and the 4 year old slept on the murphy wall bed. The 2 yr old slept in a pack and play in the bedroom with us. No one complained. This past January we stayed at the FW Cabins and the boys each slept in a bunk bed, their parents slept in the double bed in the same room and we slept on the murphy bed in the living room. Again no complaints. I actually thought the murphy bed was comfortable.

We stayed at AoA in a Lion King Room and fit comfortably!

We were a party of 4 full grown adults as well as a 5 year old and a 1 year old. My parents slept in the bedroom. The one year old slept in a Pack and Play. I slept on the Murphy bed- sometimes with my husband but sometimes with my 5 year old. And whoever wasn't with me slept on the pull out bed. We were very comfortable with no issues.

We loved having the table for breakfast in the mornings. I was the most concerned for space for our stuff and luggage. We managed that just fine by unpacking into the drawers. Then we did the best we could to nest the smaller luggage into the larger pieces and tuck them in the bedroom.

Sounds like we will be comfortable. Thank you everyone. We do have a really picky 13 yo who will not share a bed so we will bring an airbed for her and she will be happy with that. Can't wait for our Magical Disney Christmas!

I stayed there a couple of times. My youngest loves the table bed and my son and his friend always stay on the pull out. They have never complained about the comfort. Such an awesome resort!

There may not be room for an airbed depending on how big it is when the other beds are pulled out.

We stayed there- myself, DH, DM, DD5, DD3. The kids slept on the sofa bed, mom slept on the Murphy bed which she said was very comfy, DH and I slept in the bedroom. It was nice to have the door to close so DH could watch tv late. The 2 bathrooms were definitely a plus.

I stayed in a Cars suite in January, and I thought the Murphy bed was more comfortable than the regular bed (I slept on both during the stay). I didn't try the sofa bed though. As far as the airbed goes, the best place for it will be in front of the kitchenette (depending on the size of the airbed - a small one might just squeeze in at the foot of the Murphy bed).

Having two bathrooms and two TVs was great!

Agree with the above. The airbed will fit if you put it in front of the kitchenette.

you could book 2 little mermaid room that are connecting rooms, then you'll have 2 full baths, and 4 queen beds for less than the cost of the suite

Stayed at AoA in a Cars suite twice now. First time was a short trip with my MIL, FIL, DH and DS (16 months old at that time). We thought the dining table murphy bed was pretty comfy. We had room for a packnplay, so I assume an air bed would fit as well. The second time was just me, DH and DS (2.5). DS loved the murphy bed!

You cannot book connecting rooms. You can request them, and may likely get them, but be aware there is NO GUARANTEE of it.

I thought the suites were very spacious (plenty of room for airbed), the bathrooms were big and the beds are normal queen, full, full. I think you'll be just fine.

We just stayed at AoA, Finding Nemo suites. It was myself, DH, my mom, and our two kids. I must admit it felt a bit cramped. However, we have a lot of stuff because our kids are 4 and 10 months. We have a double stroller and a pack n play in the room. I feel like with older kids with would be a bit better. While the people are bigger, you aren't constantly walking around a double stroller or pack n play. I slept on the murphy bed the first night. My husband and daughter fell asleep on the bedroom bed while I was organizing stuff so I just slept on the murphy bed. It was way more comfortable than the bed in the bedroom in my opinion. My mom thought so too because while the plan was for her to sleep on the pull out for the trip, once she tried the murphy bed she and my four year old shared that bed for the rest of the trip.

Both the pull out couch and the murphy bed are regular size beds.

We stayed in the Lion King Suites two years ago and the beds are double bed sized both the pull out and murphy. They are really comfortable, the most comfortable conversion beds I have ever slept on.

You can also see Illuminations out some of the windows from the Lion King Rooms, ask for one of those if you can they are in building 10.

What else is great about these rooms is that there is two dressers for storage, one in the bedroom and one in the living room.
