Art of animation cell phone service??

We're at art of animation cars suite, building 2, right now and can get no service one our cell phones, AT&T. How can that be??

I had that problem last year in a LM room at AoA. No problems when I was right outside of our room on the balcony. Very frustrating.

I have had that problem at the Pop Century every vacation. It has to do with the cement walls and structure of the building.....the same as when you are in Costco. Just step outside or even stand in your doorway with the door open and you will magically have reception again.

I had that same issue staying in Lion King Building 10. Whenever I'd send my Mom a text message, it took a long time to send. When I'd make a phone call, I went outside and had no issues with reception outside.

I had that issue staying at Pop. I think it has something to do with the construction of the building. It was annoying, but we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room, so it wasn't too big of a deal.

I had that issue last year at art of animation and previous years at pops. I could not get a signal out of the room.. This year at AKL- no problem.. As soon as I went out of the room, would get a signal

We had the same issue at CSR with AT&T two weeks ago. We both have iPhones. Barely any service in and around our room in Cabanas 9A. Even the wifi signal was intermittent. Apparently AT&T has some dead zones around the resorts....

This is where we are planning on staying next year. Anyone have any experience with Verizon, and if you encounter the same issues with Verizon service?

Yup, that was me also last December at AoA. Had to stand just outside the door.

I also have a cell phone on TMobile. Maybe I'll bring that one this year..

I haven't had any trouble with Verizon at Disney. Definitely weak at CSR in my room, but fine for me at AOA, AKV, SSR, and BLT.

I had the exact same problem. We were in the same building. I had to go outside, just just in the hall, to get service. Couldn't keep in touch with my boyfriend. Boo

Had signal issues at Little Mermaid the one night I stayed there.

The resort seems to be in a "black hole"

We stayed 4th floor LK and had no problems at all with Verizon.

I have Verizon and had the same issues at AoA, in both LM room and our Cars suite. We had to use the room phone to make/receive calls.

My friends had the same issue when they stayed in the Cars section last fall. We were staying at SSR and our friends were at AoA, we figured we would just call each other every night to coordinate plans for the next day since both groups had small kids. Both of us had issue will cell service, she has AT&T, and I have Verizon. Her service was much more sketchy than mine over at SSR. We ended up having to text which was a pain, and they took forever to go through. WDW has always been an issue for cell service in certain spots for us for years!

I had the same issue at Pop - Verizon with no service in the room. I too had to step outside the room to make phone calls - annoying to say the least.

I had planned on using my hotspot on my phone to link to the internet too since I couldn't get Disney internet to work in the room either so that was a bust. IT guys were absolutely no help.

I think it's the buildings.

We stayed at AoA twice this year (April and July). We have Verizon, and NEVER experienced any problems while at the resort.
29 trips to Disney World and counting...next stop POFQ March 2014

We just recently stayed at AOA in the Nemo rooms. We have Verizon and had no cell service in the rooms at all. I stood by the window and was able to get enough bars to make a call.
